Legacy Industrial Garage Flooring

Well, it looked fantastic until the 5 inch lip on the concreted peeled off, it really wasn't part of the of the contract. But the way Scotty ignored me, refuse to answer my calls, texts & e-mails. I was willing to pay him to fix the imperfections, he still answer or assist me. And no other epoxy guy in town wants to fix it because they have to have the same product & it's a small job no money? Now my floor which was under contact is starting to flake off, must see the photos and you might want to ask him about warranty. I have been in the construction business for 30 years and was very surprised that he ignored me after i would pay him to fix the areas of concern, unbelievable! The floor looks beautiful. We had a speckled finish of epoxy applied. It was just completed so we don't know how it will look a year from now but it should look just as nice & we have a promise from Scottie that if there is any issue in the future, just give himself a call, I can't believe I waited so long to do this project in that we use our garage for so many different activities. It fact, the transition is so amazing I'm not sure I'll want to put our cars back in.

It is best to read and reread the instructions before doing any work. To prepare the floor, I rented a Diamabrush from Home Depot to remove all of the old paint from the floor before sealing the cracks. I would also suggest that all of the cracks / divets / holes be filled with sand BEFORE adding the crack-filling epoxy material as it polymerizes (hardens) very fast (< 10 min) once solns A and B are mixed in the bottles. BTW, crack-filling sand is not included with the kit. You can purchase play sand from HD/Lowes, but what I bought was white hobby sand from Hobby Lobby. Once the cracks were sealed, they were ground flat using 4 1/2" diamond cup wheel on Makita flat grinder. Then the HD Primer is mixed and spread (best to pour it out and spread using flat spreader) before using 12" roller (from HD). I was short liquid as the mixed primer only covered about 250 sq ft/gallon on the bare concrete floor, although It had a relatively decent pot life. I let it cure overnight, then applied the main base coat and 3 gallons covered my 600 sq ft garage floor OK. Be careful at this point as the Base coat is slippery when dry, so adding fine grit material to the sealer is essential (as suggested by the instructions). Lastly, I added 8 tablespoons of FINE grit to the 2 1/2 gal mixed sealer and applied it using the 8" paint roller included in the kit. Be sure to resuspend the mixed sealer using a paint mixer every 3-6 min to keep the sand suspended in the sealer. The finished floor is marvelous and the embedded grit adds the needed traction. All told, it took me about 6 days start to finish.

went great, i needed it done before i moved in and legacy was able to accommodate me. the only (minor) complaint i have is that the cc fee was never mentioned to me. i ended up going with legacy because they were cheaper than other quotes and when the cc fee was added the price was comparable with others. ultimately it was my responsibility to read the paperwork so no harm no foul, i love my garage!

Scott and his crew were great to work with and very good at explaining the  process and the do and don'ts of any epoxy floor.

I had a 40 year old garage floor the turned into a clean room, my Corvettes and Harley are going to love their new home.

The floor turned out far better then I could of imagined.

Louie was very knowledgeable, I felt comfortable with Legacy since they manufacture their material. Who knew there was so much to know about epoxy. Legacy sure did. Their owner is well known on the internet and the company has a fantastic reputation. Our floor looks like it belongs in a magazine. These guys are pros!
