SUNSCAPE HOMES

Description of Work: Contracted with Sunscape Homes to do a remodeling and 2 story addition to our Keene's Point Windermere home. They have taken nearly 3 years to do what should have been a 6 month project. Bottom line they have done substandard work in many phases and left subs unsupervised, walked away from job, refuse to return emails or phone calls, cancelled meetings on short notice and refused to reschedule, Have not provided requested proof of insurance, and have not been willing to substantiate charges on change orders or allowances. According to an engineer and 2 other general contractors they did not properly insulate a wine room. Other problems include, botched insulation job, incomplete paint job with paint other than specified, damaged garage door, installation of warped French doors, cut water line and covered it up until Orange County Utilities called to notify us of $900 water bill, refuse to deal with driveway pavers that they installed that had aggregate (I.e. rust splotches appearing), installed wrong fire pit in wrong location, contrary to all owner instructions had non matching fence and balcony railings installed, destroyed irrigation and landscape lighting in area not under construction, have not supplied any warranty information. Bottom line we paid top dollar for a sub standard job that drug on forever and is still not complete.
