PREFERRED LANDSCAPING

Now know as Creative Landscaping. After being recommended by a local nursery, Joel Howard Capps was asked to come to our home to give a bid estimate for Landscaping and Popcorn Decoration Curbing around one flowerbed. He wrote the estimate, and asked for 1/3 down ($230.00) to have our name put on the list. We asked for references and we went to two homes to look at his work, and visited with one home owner. We asked him to come back, and signed a contract with Mr. Capps indicating he would be there within two weeks. We gave him a check for the requested $230.00. Immediately we got stalling. After nine months, and numerous phone calls, we turned this over to the county sheriff and it was accepted as a case of fraud, Hillsbourgh (Fl) County Case Number 18-168314. Do to the Sheriff Deputy accepting the case, and Mr. Capps being informed of the consequences, within two days, he appeared at the door with our $230.00. Please refer to the Tampa Florida Better Business Bureau for further cases involving Mr. Capps. We have been told by a local supplier he has again changed the name of his business. It was Preferred Landscaping, but that name has not been used for several years.
