Phil and his crew installed 18x18 porcelain tile in our
family room, 'hallway' and washroom. We?re extremely happy with the
installation. He was able to leverage another client's schedule change to
install our tile quickly. It appeared to be a ?seller?s market? in the Tampa
area (03/2014) as we received only two bids and three responses total from over
a half dozen phone calls and/or emails.
We provided what we considered to be a good description of
the work to be done, but Phil ensured a good estimate by personally visiting
and reviewing our circumstances (We believe over pressure from water damage and
previous poor installation caused tenting in our fully tiled home.).
While we were concerned that the cost estimate was high, we
found Phil's acceptable when compared to the only other respondent, especially
with the strong recommendations regarding quality of work we received from an
in-law who used to work with him. (Given the destruction of the dollar?s value,
I was unsure of the value estimates).
Dust is an issue when removing tile and Phil helped us out
by covering much of our furniture, collectibles and finery with light plastic
sheeting. He also identified significant crazing/cracking in the foundation and
provided additional ?suppressant? coverage in an attempt to preclude the
tenting issue in the future.

additional area requiring re-tiling (the washroom), Phil and his crew stretched
the available tiles to provide complete coverage (albeit with no ?left-overs?).
I watched some while Phil and his crew worked, and it
appeared to me they were professionals who were very concerned about doing the
