Minute Man TV

Description of Work: The TV I was having problems with was just out of warranty. Called George and met him at his shop with the 20" LCD TV. He informed me there would be a $40.00 bench fee to check it out, cash right then as they don't take credit cards. That should have been my 1st warning. He said he would call me in a few days. 2 weeks later I called him, since he hadn't bothered to call me back. He informed me it had a bad card and would be $230.00 to fix it. I only paid $188.00 for it. I told him I would come pick it up and send it back to the manufacturer.

Description of Work: He repaired our older 36" Mitsubishi television.

Description of Work: I feel ripped off. His location is 2.5 miles from my home. He was there 20 minutes and charged me tax on his 89.95 service charge. He was way too expensive. I had another repairman who came from 22 miles, and his fee was 60.00 and ''0'' tax. I would not recommend him. His name was GEORGE.

Description of Work: This company name is also shown in Brandon ( 210 South Parson's Ave ) I dealt with the technician and personnel at the Brandon Location. On 4/28/06 a technician came out to take a look at my 57' Hitachi TV. The set is blinking when the TV has been on for a while. After 20 minutes of just watching TV his diagnostic was to call Bright House and have the cable box exchanged. He also explained that if that was not the issue they will come back and take care of the T.V at no additional service charge. Bright house exchanged the box and the T.V continued to have the same problem. I started calling for a technician on 5/2/06 and everyday, I was told that I was scheduled and that the technician will call me within a hour to let me know. Minute Man has repeated this same story for four days in a row. They have my $ 96.25 and now they do not want to stand behind their word or guaratee. I have asked to get my money back

Description of Work: OUR BIG SCREEN TV DID NOT HAVE ANY VOLUME ANYMORE AND WE DID NOT WANT TO HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER TV. GEORGE TALKED WITH MY HUSBAND AND TOLD US HE COULD HOOK UP SPEAKERS TO GIVE US VOLUME FOR TV. HE SAVED US A LOT OF MONEY! HE WAS EARLY FOR APPOINTMENT AND VERY NICE.

Description of Work: LARGE MITSUBISHI CONSOLE CABINET 36'' TV--PICTURE GONE, BURNT SMELL. 10 YRS OLD. GEORGE CAME OUT, CHECKED IT, SAID IT NEEDED TESTING THAT COULDN'T BE DONE ON SITE, REMOVED IT TO HIS SHOP. TOOK APPROXIMATE A WEEK FOR HIM TO REPAIR IT, APPARENTLY CIRCUIT BOARD WAS DAMAGED AND OTHER PARTS WERE NEEDED. RETURNED THE SET, IT NOW WORKS FINE.
