The Munn's installation team was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT and very professional! These folks busted hump to get the job done in one afternoon and kept at it (on a steady diet of cold iced tea and root beer from our refrigerator) until dusk. We were extremely pleased with the work. We were so pleased that we asked Munn's if there was a service plan they offered for small businesses that bumped us to the front of the line when the A/C systems failed. They replied that the Mitsubishi system had a 5-year warranty and that the Bryant system wasn't a system they generally serviced (which is weird because Carrier bought Bryant and Munn's is a Carrier reseller) but that they would still service it under "the plan."
Then the post-install service department happened...otherwise known as "the plan"...
The Bryant system failed twice within 180 days of signing the agreement, but Munn's managed to find a way each time (the fine print) to say the repair wasn't covered by "the plan." Each time the Bryant system, which is only 3 years old, was serviced it cost us north of $400 for the visit, parts, service call technician time, etc.
Today, 05/14/2015, the Mitsubishi unit's condensation removal pump shorted out and caught fire from the inside of the pump (obvious defect in product only being 1.5 years old). The pump therefore stopped working because it burned up and then proceeded to pump water all over the IT room and yet Munn's managed to find a way (the fine print) to say the parts weren't covered by "the plan." I'm beginning to see a pattern here...
I've now been waiting for four hours on an "emergency" return call for Munn's to tell me how they plan to rectify the situation. I believe "the plan" is to wait until the office has enough water in it to fall into a sinkhole.
I've since called a reputable Heating & A/C company with a fire in their belly and a small business hunger to SERVICE THE CUSTOMER. From the time I called Sunshine A/C to the time the problem was resolved was 45 minutes. Sometimes it isn't about the money...it's about the service!
To make a long story short...I recommend using Sunshine A/C instead of Munn's. Munn's has gotten too big for their britches and they've lost the small business appeal and any care for their customers. 'Nuff said.
