He did a crappy job. The lattice is not put on right. It's very flimsy and made of plastic. He didn't even cap off the pipes and I have water leaking underneath the trailer that someone has to come out and fix. He brought a pedophile to my house and I didn't know it until the girl across the street came over and told us. I have 2 grandchildren at my house. He did fire the guy once I told him about this. I don't think he is a licensed contractor and he refused to show us his license.
Description of Work: He gave us a bid of $2500 to put hardwood floors in 3 bedrooms and build a 8x8 deck. He said the closets were not included so he charged us extra for that. Then he gave us 2 extra bills: one for $400 for moving furniture (just moving everything from one side of the room to the other, I had to move everything back) and the other was $700 because he said he had to remove toxic mold from the bathroom floors. Then we asked him how much he would charge us to remodel a small bathroom and he said he would charge $2500 because he already had the tile. We gave him a $1500 deposit and that's when he told us we owed him $1100 for the work he had already done.

Response from Rick Bryant Construction
She called me to give an estimate to install laminate flooring in three bedroom's of her home, she wanted to wait to put flooring in the closet's until another time. She promised to have everything out of the room's before we started the job, nothing had been moved when we got there to start the job, I hired extra help to move furniture and dismantle bed's and such. She agreed to pay the extra to have to move everything. While removing the carpet I discovered that there was severe water damage to the plywood flooring and framing, it had to be repaired, I gave her the option to get an estimate from someone else but she wanted me to repair the damage's. We had to take down bathroom wall's to repair the floor properly, I was prepared to install new drywall and close off the bathroom for privacy reason's, she said not to install the drywall. I finished the laminate flooring in the three bedroom's. Next she wanted to remodel the second bathroom, I tried to explain to her about the privacy issue's only having one functional bathroom in the master bedroom but she insisted on starting the 2nd bathroom so I started, my estimate did not cover the cost of a new jaccuzzi tub because she was undecided on what type of tub that she wanted. She agreed to purchase the tub, I got the job to a point that I couldn't proceed any further without the tub, she hadn't purchased a tub yet, her son-in-law told me that she was going to try to make me buy the tub so I met with her and told her that it wasn't in the agreement for me to purchase the tub. She told me that she wanted her old tub back, it was cracked (plastic mobile home tub) and I thought it had been disposed of and told her that, she said "then you owe me a new tub", I told her that I did not. She has constantly added extra work from trimming tree's to installing lattice, the cheapest product that I could get was her instruction. I went back and installed flooring in the closet's to please her and she agreed to pay only for material's. She has constantly tried to get work done for nothing and I was very patient with her. She has constantly lied about what that happened at her home and talked bad about me around town. She did not want to pay the money that she owed, she wanted work done for nothing. If I would have heard about how she has done this same thing to other people I would not even considered doing any work at all for her. I did retrieve part of my money back by taking some of the material's back but I'm hoping the I can use the balance of the material's on another job unless she wants to pay for them. I'm sure that God put people like her on earth to test the people who try to do right. Thank you, Rick Bryant-Owner
