Although there were no open appointment time, I was instructed to bring Aimee in for an exam and blood work. The results of the tests showed very poor kidney functioning. She was treated with IV fluids for 2 days, with little improvement. An X-ray then showed a mass, most likely malignant . Dr. Durkee advised me that that there were no treatment options at this stage and I decided to euthanized my cat. The staff was very supportive and I was with Aimee as she died. It was a peaceful end to the life of this sweet, beautiful cat.75

Excellent, she was just excellent. She is on a list of veterinarians that the local rescues use, that's the reason why I went to her, plus I had seen her on Angie's List and I was happy to see that she was one that I could use, because its pretty much when you adopt an animal you can take it to these vets free of charge up to $500 or something and they wil do what they can if there are any health issues. She is great. Regarding price, that is kind of unfair because, this was an adopted animal and I didn't have to pay anything because I adopt it from animal control and they give you a $500 voucher to take in, so it was free of charge up to that point. They probaby did $200-$300 worth of work on her, but I didn't have to pay for it. They're not real expensive, I would say they are average. I did have to wait a little bit. I would absolutely use them again in the future.

Wonderful! Everyone from the vet to all the staff were very friendly. Prices extremely reasonable and no additional unneeded services were pushed. Would recommend to everyone.

They are one of the best in the area. She's the best. She's an A. We have talked to a lot of people who use them and everybody raves about them. I have never heard anybody say that they are expensive. They charge competitive rates, but they are very fair.

She was given a comprehensive exam.digital fecal manipulation,fecal panel, ant thyroid test, and his heart was checked. Dr Durkee changed Sunrise's food from store brand to prescription brand gastrointestinal food, Hooray! Sunrise is great! I am always so grateful for the love, attention and care from Dr. Durkee and staff!! Whether you have a cat or dog, you will get the same fabulous treatment.Dr. Durkee is like no other vet I have ever had! I am a very lucky person, and you will be too! All the years of care were filled with love and great skill and knowledge. On this particular day, one of my toughest in life, Dr. Durkee and her staff were so kind and comforting. She gave me all the time I needed and when I told them I didn't want the ashes, they gave me her paw imprint in the sweetest package. I didn't think I wanted anything that day in my grief, but I am so thankful that they just know how you feel. I treasure that gift and so highly recommend Dr. Durkee. We have used Dr Durkee for 3 years now for our three rescue chihuahuas. DR DURKEE IS CARING, LOVING, PROFESSIONAL, ON-TIME, AND HANDS DOWN ...... THE BEST VET IN PALM BEACH COUNTY !!! Both Dr. Durkee and Beth were so caring and patient with me. They put my mind at rest that Simba would be fine with the new dry food, which they sold to me on the spot. While it was expensive food ($41), they were right. Simba has had no further problems with constipation and, in fact, is keeping me busy cleaning out his litter box. I have never been happier to scoop a litter box in my life! Simba was a trooper and they both were so gentle with him that one of them even got a lick. I was thrilled to leave there with hope that my little guy will be with me and healthy for as long as possible.

The visit went well (they are so sweet with my cats!). Allie got her exam, blood drawn and nails trimmed too. Unfortunately, Allie had a reaction to one of the vaccinations & I had to return the next day (Friday) for follow up (at no charge). After I got her home later Friday, Allie still "wasn't herself" and Dr. Durkee followed up with me Friday night & Saturday morning. Fortunately, Allie was better by Saturday evening but I felt relieved to know how concerned Dr. Durkee & her staff were. They even followed up during the following week! I've been taking my cats to Dr. Durkee for years & wouldn't go anywhere else. She & her staff truly care about your animals AND you! She makes sure to answer all questions and gives clear explanations and directions if meds are called for. The West Palm Animal Clinic is the best & I unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone needing a caring vet service.

I left another vet in Pal Beach Gardens where my dog's eye was permanently injured while having his teeth removed and cleaned. I never felt the sincerity, warmth, or caring I now have at this clinic. The Doctor is the best I've ever met and I've had several other vets. The office staff is also extremely caring, kind, and considerate of my feelings as well as my dogs. I highly recommend this wonderful vet and her amazing staff. She's an answer to prayer and an example of what a great vet should be

Dr. Durkee and her staff (especially Karen) are amazing and always so responsive to all  incoming calls,  voicemail call backs for updates and follow up calls after the appointments. They are always so caring and understanding.  I used to live in WPB and have since moved a few times which is more north and an hour away and would NEVER consider any other Veterinarian office.  They  accommodate appointment times and emergencies of all kinds.  Same quality and compassionate staff for many years.

Dr. Durkee was very familiar with the condition, and took a personal interest.  I couldn't be happier with the results, nor could my cat.  They are the best!

I have been using Dr Durkee since 1997. I moved out of state twice and when I return, I always go back. Even when I was living cross country in Oregon, Dr Durkee was always there for me with any questions I had regarding my then 16 year old Australian Shephard that Dr Durkee as taken care of since she was 4 months old. I am on my third dog with Dr Durkee and am getting ready to adopt another Aussie. I will always go to the best Veterinarian around!!!! You will never find any Dr and Staff with so much compassion and professionalism as West Palm Animal Clinic!

The love of our life, Gino our pet Maltese was treated with the utmost care and was lovingly handled by Dr. Durkee and his staff.  They are always very gentle and kind and treat the little ones in the family with love.

The doctor and staff took care of both dog's nails and did an overall healthy exam. They treat both dogs like they were their own, and generally care about their health. Both dogs had major concerns in their health over the last year and the doctor took care of both their problems. Chocolate had a thyroid problem and has now lost over 30 pounds because he was prescribed medicine that no other doctor saw previously. Maxiumus had an unnatural growth on his face that caused sight impairment, Dr. Drukee did a facial surgery when no other doctor would attempt it. Max is a new looking dog and has no problems with the scarring.

I actually look forward to our visit with Dr. Durkee and her staff and so does Sophie! I have used two other veterinarians in the area and the whole experience at West Palm Animal Clinic is just different. When the tech comes to the waiting room to get us, Sophie literally gets excited and drags me in. Dr. Durkee and her staff are so obviously caring and concerned and they are so good with Sophie. Of course we're thrilled she'd healthy, blood work is okay, etc., but more important is the way we are treated. I have great confidence in Dr. Durkee and so happy we found her.

We thought we knew what was wrong with our dog but when tech brought her back out, said that was not it. She told me Dr Durkee recommended urinalysis and while I was checking out, the receptionist asked if I wanted to go ahead and see about getting that done right away instead of having to come back for another appointment. Of course that made sense and I was surprised the tech didn't suggest that when she gave me our dog. Then of course, also ended up with blood test, xray, etc which changed the bill from $18 to almost $400. We certainly appreciate the senior citizens' discount.
Dr Durkee and her staff are friendly and personable. I like that the clinic has a cat entrance/side separated from the dog entrance/side by the reception area. The fish tank is awesome.
 I'm glad they didn't find anything really seriously wrong.  I was a bit concerned that our dog was incredibly thirsty when we got her. We had a little water in the car which she drank and frantically pawed for more so we stopped and bought some more which she drank until we stopped her.

It went very well. Successful. Very happy, very pleased. Dr. Durkee saved my fur baby of 14yrs.

We have been a client of Dr. Durkee for more than 15-yrs.  She is the only vet we trust with our Great Danes.  She is caring and dedicated to finding a solution and not a band-aide.  Dr. Durkee will do the research and find out what is going on, what the options are and recommend treatment based on conservative measures and not based upon doing the highest cost procedure.

Dr. Durkee's staff have been there just as long.  Both Karen and Kelly have been there with us in the good times and the bad.  As a group, they have celebrated and welcomed all of our new fur babies to the family and held my hand when each one crossed the rainbow bridge.  I can't say enough about their dedication and love for what they do.
