I already knew that the service call was $65, plus parts (which ran me another $35). The work went quickly -- no problems or hidden and quot;gotchasand quot;. What really impressed me was Derrill's gentle nudging about looking at the other verticals (I'd initially called about breakage in only one of them) -- he reminded me that inspecting/fixing the others now would only involve the cost for parts, labor being included in the current service call. Considering that the blinds are the originals (1980), I had no hesitation about doing so.
The Vertical Doctor was punctual, polite, and proficient. His dress was clean and presentable, and appropriate for the work being performed. Derrill's demeanor was pleasant, and he took pains to educate me about the proper way to open-and-close vertical blinds, to adjust their alignment (if/when necessary), and how to prevent any future damage.
