Target Surveying

Do not use them. They take your money and then won’t talk to you. They don’t tell you when they are coming so you can plan and ensure access. Then after they finally do the site work it is several weeks to a month before the complete the survey or elevation certificate. Poor customer service, not efficient and not timely.

Avoid this company at all costs. Paid to have a new survey completed on a property we were purchasing. There was an old survey that we were provided but were not sure it was accurate. We paid Target $1800 to do a full new survey and they simply copied the information from the old survey and stuck flags in at the 3 easily accessed corners of the property. We knew this because one of the back corners of the property is very thickly wooded and there was no trail leading to the back corner. I contacted them and they lied saying that they cut a trail and found the property marker. I sent in pictures showing there was no trail cut from the other corner as they said there was, and offered them an opportunity to come show me the trail/marker. They refused, and now I am forced to take them to court to recoup my money. Do not do business with them. After talking to several other survey companies in the area they have a reputation for doing things like this and holding up closings etc. Please don't make the same mistake I did and trust these thieves. Be sure to read the negative reviews on this company and not just the fake 5 star reviews. I will add photos of the thick area they told me they cut a trail through and never did.

Requested a quote for a boundary survey of a single family residence.  Target quoted $400 with a turnaround of 3 business days.  We agree to proceed and a day later Target sends an email asking whether it is for a closing.   I explain that it is not for a closing.  Target replies that it will be 7-9 days but price will remain the same.  I agree to the delay.  After 10 days later with no response from Target, I ask for status update.  Target says it will be a couple more days.  After 14 days from original order date, I ask for status update.  Target does not respond to email so I cancel the order.  What a waste of time. 

Crew came to my property the same day as my appraisal. I was able to see all the work being performed and the surveyor showed me all of my boundary markers and marked them nicely with orange flags for us to see

They are very responsive to work with. They were prompt and professional.

They had done the land surveying. We did not schedule any with them. We did not have and interaction with them. After the survey was done, one of the flags was gone. That is the corner that I am most concerned about. I was going to contact them and have a metal detector to try and find it. I don't know if it would be something that we would have to review and have my own expense to find it.
