Have been a South FL customer now for 1 1/2 years here and there are continual problems. First had an issue with Techs not fertilizing entire lawn - had to walk perimeter of lot numerous times over 6+ months. Lawn service became so bad, Massey waved the fee for several months. Now an issue with Pest control - techs arrive and within an hour of leaving, spider webs are back; they do not knock down webs or wasps nests and do not spray to kill, so pests remain intact. Customer fully understands issues with these outdoor pests, but service is so poor that the pests are never even partially eliminated. Calls to Regional Manager have been pleasant and productive, but local office is unresponsive and techs continual response to items needing to be re-addressed is "I guess I will need to do a better job." Example: the quarterly pest control service has turned into 4 visits within last 2 months - same wasps/same spiders in same locations. I am presently interviewing new Pest Control services. Would not recommend Massey in this geographical area.

We hired them to do lawn & tree/shrub care. They do not communicate what your lawn needs. If something is dieing, or you need additional care, they should say something. Instead they just send there "Technician" who doesnt know anything about what he is doing, other than spraying the fertilizer on the lawn, They are not educated, and cannot handle a problem. Horrible experience, would not reccomend, nor would we ever use them again.

I've used them several different times. I used them two years ago or more at my cabin. We sub a contract with them up there. I used them on my home here in Florida. We still have an on-going contract with them. They come periodically. It was good results. They put some precautionary parts down. What they last feed the house for was pretty much taken care of. The customer service is good. They have very competitive price.

We had Massey install termite control system. Installer put a hole through the irrigation system and mixed chemicals on the lawn...leaving a large burn. Worse, they then called and asked how it went...told them of the issue...they said "oh, that's too bad"....

On 25 November 2013, we called Massey, when we learned that they also provided landscaping and irrigation system maintenance.[Massey handles our pest control, so we felt comfortable with them. Plus, every other company that we contacted was not interested in servicing us since we live in Ave Maria, Florida.] On 27 November 2013, Massey sent an Inspector, who assessed our problem. He determined that we had an underground leak in addition to the broken heads. A few days later, Massey called to schedule the work for 4 December 2014. Early on 4 December, the Massey Tech, Casey, arrived and made the agreed upon repairs. Before he left, he told us that he had made the repairs designated on the Work Order and that had stopped the majority of the leaks. But, he said that there appeared to be a leak somewhere. He said it was most likely being caused by a malfunction of a valve. After a few days, we determined that there still was a leak. We called Massey and spoke to Brian, who manages this type of work. He came to our house a few days later and solved our valve problem. | |We are Happy with the service that Massey provided and the fact that they made ALL of the necessary repairs at the originally estimated price. We understand that since the irrigation system is almost totally underground, it has too be nearly impossible to diagnose problems with the system !

We had a service contract with Massey for a year, mainly because we were having whitefly infestations in our ficus hedges. During that time, the hedges went from bad to worst. For much of that time, the hedges were significantly defoliated, and those hedges are all that stand between us and the busy street that runs behind our home, meaning our pool and home could be observed from the street easily. We made it plain at the outset that we were uncomfortable with this.
Unfortunately, Massey was not proactive. I had to constantly go out back and check for infestations, then call when I noticed activity or when I saw leaves falling. It would take a day to get them out, during which we had significant defoliation. This happened again and again, 3 times. I paid a fortune for a service agreement so that I would NOT have to worry about infestations. Not only did I have to worry about them, I had to constantly monitor for them. That was simply not acceptable.
They did an OK job on the lawn. But I had to call them when weeds began to emerge a couple of times.
All in all, for our purposes, they were dismal. We terminated the agreement and got a service that does a stellar job (Hulett.)

I intervened a couple of companies and they are the ones that I decided to go with. They did a termite inspection and they did a termite treatment on my home. There were actually white termites and they treated those. I have a bond with them now with an annual renewal. Their price was excellent because their price was the most competitive. There were several companies that came but they were great. They came out when they said they would. When they found an issue they fixed it right away.

They have gone down in my book. I used to consider them a B+ to an A company but not recently. I just got off the phone with them because they didn't do what I asked. I asked them to come on Friday (July 8th, 2011), and they came today (July 12, 2011). But I wasn't home today, so they will have to come back another day, so they have disappointed me as of recently.
