I own a Television production studio that produces TV commercials and videos for major corporations, U.S. Congressmen and Governor's. We are also well known for SEO (search engine optimization) in which our clients contact us to build websites and have them placed in the top listings within google and other major search engines. I deal with customers on a daily basis and know the value of treating people with respect. I find it imperative to treat people just as you wish to be treated. As good citizens, I believe we must warn others of those who don't treat people fairly.I took my Mercedes Benz to Martino Tire company to have a routine oil change and the left headlamp replaced. I returned later in the evening to pick up the car. I departed out of the parking lot of their garage onto the highway and lost all power to the engine. My car has a clean carfax report and has never had any major issues. The driver behind me almost rear-ended my car as they passed by blowing the horn. I was able to get the car off the road. After a few moments, it began to regain power. As I drove down to the stop light it continued to lose power, gain power and lose power again. As I did a u-turn, power to the engine increased and I made it back to Martino Tire. Back at Martino I politiely told the mechanic that something was wrong with the car. He asked to take a short test drive in the car. After returning he didn't notice anything wrong, but said "you know the car better than me." He went and spoke with Ralph Nahmod, the general manager. When he returned, the mechanic said, "he told me to tell you to drive it over the weekend and bring it back on Monday." Upset that the manager did not even come out of his office to introduce himself and offer assistance, I said "can't it be looked at right now?" The mechanic told me "he said you'll have to bring it back on Monday." As I drove home, the car did not completely stall (as it did before), but I did notice quite a substantial loss in power. On Sunday, after returning from Church, the car completely stalled on I-95. It took me 2 1/2 hours to make what should have been a 40 min drive. It would not go over 50 mph and about every 4 miles would completely stall, which I would steer the dead car off the side of the road. After about 15 mins of waiting I could get it started back up and drive another few miles. Keep in mind, this car has a very clean car fax report! It is well maintained and is driven less than 5,000 miles per year! Finally, I was able to make it to the Mercedes Benz dealership, just a few miles from Martino Tire. It took the Mercedes dealership several days to determine the cause for the loss of power and constant stalling engine. They were ultimately able to diagnose it as a ruined Mass Airflow Censor. According to the official report from Mercedes it said, "...read more at WWW.MartinoTireSucks.com
