KLR ROOFING CORP

I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy. They are total screw ups. If I could give them zero stars I would.

When I purchased my cottage the inspector told me that the roof was fairly new and I could increase the life of it by having it coated. I spent a lot of time researching coating products and found that GACO makes a coating that they guarantee against ponding water penetration. There was one corner of the house where water ponds during rains. Instead of waiting until the roof was in poor condition, I decided to hire KLR to apply this coating. It took a little time to get a bid to have the work done. Undoubtedly most people who call for work need it done NOW, so I'm sure that played a roll in that. Once we got the bid and I did my due diligence, I was able to schedule the work for when I would be in town. The project took two days- one day of prep, another of the actual coating. In the process of prepping, it was discovered that drip edge was rusting in some spots and should be painted. Really this should have been discovered during the initial inspection and included in the bid because *I* knew it and could see it from the ground. The proposed solution was to have the guys paint it when they applied the coating. Ideally this would've been fixed differently, but realistically this was probably the most economical way to address it, so I picked up the paint and fortunately there were enough labor hours in the bid to cover the work. The workers worked hard all day in beating down sun, did a very nice job painting the drip edge, and the roof coating looked great when it was done-- I've had it applied elsewhere where the attention to detail was really poor and had to have that contractor come back out to reapply it in some areas. The difference in interior temperature was already notable as soon as the coating was on (it's white.) Overall this was a very good experience and I would hire KLR again.

The day after I called Mike Fitzpatrick came to give an estimate of the cost of repairs.  The estimate was in line with what I had paid for previous roof repairs.  The work was done a few days after I accepted the contract.  The workmen were efficient and even corrected a problem that was left by the company that previously repaired the roof in that same spot.  I was very pleased with all aspects of KLR Roofing and would definitely hire them again.

It went excellent.

Bid and completion of work were within timeframes quoted. Crew is very nice and cleaned up site well.

Mike was very professional and took the time to explain things on the initial visit. There was a delay to get my original estimate but all went well after the estimate was received. Good coordination of setting the date to repair. Repairs were done timely. Workers were professional.

It was nice when they answered the phone. Today not many companies do that.. Mike immediately came to my home and located our leak and it was fixed the very same day.

They came out and supposedly fixed the roof where the issues were stemming from. There was no rain for quite some time until about two weeks after the repair. There was nearly a month of rain and I noticed that the water coming off of the roof was going behind the gutter and right to the foundation. I called a gutter company who informed me that the roof was not fixed correctly. I called the company back and they were going to come out to measure the gutters. I called twice and they've never come out or followed up with me. Now they will not answer the phone or call back when I leave messages.

We called Mike at KLR and he came out almost immediately. He was very professional and personable. He examined the damage and told us he would email us an estimate by the next morning, which he did. We were happy with the price and scheduled the work to be done within a few days. The workers arrived on time and were very thorough, explained what they found and how they repaired it. So far, so good. We are very pleased with everything.

Michael Fitzpatrick (Pres.) came out personally and gave us an estimate for work that we needed to be done. WE liked right away that he wasn't trying to force us to do more than just the repair as some companies had before him. Our roof is old and in the fairly near future it will have to be replaced. WE had some shingles on hand and he even discounted our bill and used what he could of materials we had on hand.
The work was done today. Michaeal came out this morning promptly when he said he would, went over what had to be done with one of his workman then his workman went about his business quietly and professionally . I was emailed the final bill, that was exactly what was proposed later today and was given a warranty on the repair. We are pleased we chose KLR Roofing Corp. and will call them again when it comes time to replace our roof with a brand new one!!

Michael Fitzpatrick is the owner that I dealt with, everything that was discussed to be done was done and done on time. His estimate was right on and the work was very satisfactorily done.

It all started because we wanted to have some repairs done to our roof. Mike was hired to do them but after he started the job he said he had to be honest and tell us the roof was in very bad shape. We decided to put on a new roof.We got a few estimates. KLR Roofing was not the cheapest but, I liked Mikes ideas. He came out,went up in the attic and took tme explaining everything to me. He seemed like a nice guy and honest. I was right. His men were very nice, the came out on time, and finished on schedule.

Great Company. They were on time and very professional throughout the job. I'm happy with everything and would definately use/refer them again.
