I got a huge flyer in the mail from Hurricane Headquarters, so I decided to give them a call. I called the number, someone answered, I gave them the info, and their sales representive Steve Goodman called me back and we set up an appointment for him to come out. He was on time, and well prepared...maybe a little too prepared. He had copies of their BBB rating, licensing, even examples of the windows. All good. But he took an entire hour, he just kept talking and talking, and this was to be his trademark in future dealings. After about an hour, he finallly gave me his quote, just wrote the number on a blank piece of paper. I asked him if I could have it, he said no it was for him, so I had to ask him to write me a quote for my own records. We weren't ready to make a decision that day, thought he pushed hard for it, saying the price of windows could go up at any time, and we should lock the price in...Anyway, he asked for a date he could call back, and then left. On that call back date, I was in a classroom, and he kept calling and leaving messages incessantly, until I finally picked up and let him know I could not talk at that moment. We still hadn't made a decision, so he asked for another call back date, which I gave him as the end of November. So yesterday, Steve calls and I let him know we've decided to go with another Window company. What should have been a one minute conversation, turned into about 10 minutes of me defending my right to choose to work with whichever company I choose, and him accusing me of not knowing how to conduct business. He acted as if he was entitled to my business because he had come out and given me a quote. After about 10 minutes of him just incessantly talking trying to convince me that I had made the wrong decision, I finally had to tell him I was ending the conversation.

Response from Hurricane Headquarters
I read this report from the member, and I have to tell you with so many contractors that don't even bother to show up. We actually were on top of this estimation, and the fact that Steve called him back at the time and date that the customer requested is in my opinion great service. The member states we were too prepared, is that even possible. The member complains that he was persistent, well sir I don't know of one person who is a success who is not persistent. In my opinion the proper way for the member to handle this if he truly felt pressured was to call the office and speak to the owner who is always available to talk to any customer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We do a lot of business in South Florida and I put a lot of pressure on my guys to be prompt and return calls when they make a promise to do so, and yes we demand they be prepared. I have to say I am a little taken a back by this review as where i come from 2 A's , 1 B, and 1 C, usually equates to a B rating, but the member figured it was a C. I am very sorry to hear he was not 100 percent completely satisfied with his estimate. I know he felt like we were a little aggressive in our response but I feel if I was choosing someone to do work on my home it would be a company who is prompt, prepared, and does what they say they are gonna do like call you at a certain time. I wish the member the best and hope his window project is a success. All I can say is I care a great deal how our customers are treated and so do the people who work for the company. I have a list of referral's as long as my arm that provides prove that we are a company who cares and who provides fantastic products and workmanship. It is too bad the member did not choose Hurricane Headquarters. Had he seen our professionalism and craftsmanship first hand he would have been very impressed. God Bless,
