They did not bring the part, the technician took a few minutes to confirm what I had already told them on the phone and told me that the part should be in stock and they would call me the next day. For this visit they charged $ 85.
They called the next day and informed me that the installation of the part would cost another $ 150 for labor only. I knew, it was a rather quick and easy repair, so I told them that I feel overcharged paying 150 on top of the 85 for the first visit and that I would not hire them under these circumstances.
Fortunately, I found a great company on Angie's List, had the washer repaired quickly and professionally with a year warranty and ended up paying only $ 100 for labor, instead of the 85 plus 150, totaling $ 235 that Dolling's wanted to charge me.
"We are sorry for you experience and fairly I can see how you would feel. We have many customers tell us what part to bring in the past. When we go there with that part many times that is not required for the repair they need. Now we have to send that part back, freight and restocking fee"s apply. I feel your complaint should have been handled differently. If you know what part you want as we do now when a customer calls in.. We require a credit card for the purchase of any part you want, in this customer case it was obvious the handle was broken and we should have come out with it on the first trip. We should have handled this different. Do to the nature of this complaint we are extending a free Service call. I would like to make it right. Sam"
My dryer died over the weekend and I was frantically calling several places. Dollings was extremely responsive and was able to come out that day. They identified and fixed the problem and also provided advice on how to prevent it in the future (had to get the vents cleaned and they recommended Vent Care who did an amazing job!). They did an excellent job and left the job site cleaner than when they arrived. They are extremely courteous, professional, and helpful. I definitely will use them again!
The technician came to fix my refrigerator and recommended that we needed a new one. He was good and honest.
The repair was done, but the ice maker was not working properly. Technician came back the day after I called replace another part, which was an additional $60. I think he did a good job, he was courteous and knowledgeable . As far as him having to come back a second time, this can happen to anyone.
,i have a 10 year old Thermador oven that needed fixing....called a few places and they couldn't do Thermadors. My only issue is that it took them about 5 days to get out to the house b/c of their lack of available technicians. Also, $700 for a fix is pricey, but it beats buying a new one for several thousand dollars.
Guys were great, on time, knew what was needed. Tehy didn't have the part but another technician in the town over did. They went to go get that part from the other Tech and fixed on the spot (an hour later) but at least it was done the day they showed up.

Realizing that things usually get done quicker when someone at the top of the chain of command is notified of a problem, I decided to call their main office and spoke with the owner Sam. He took a look at my service history and realized something needed to be done. And the solution was we needed another new ice maker.
He assured me he would see it through to the end, and within a week I had a brand new ice maker installed and actually started working. The service techs were great, always showed up on time, every time and worked quickly. The only downside was the total cost of the ice maker and service (needed a new part for water dispenser as well), which ran close to $500. But, I am happy to pay the price for the results, and not having the hassle of dealing with an ice maker myself.
