After removing overhead storage rack to allow clearance for mechanism, all went very smoothly. All operations were explained
thoroughly, and questions answered to my satisfaction.

With their instructions, I was able to get my garage door working again. I would definately use this company again and highly recommend them to anyone in need of repairs.

Scheduled an appointment to have a frayed cable fixed on a grarage door. Estimate was for $111. Marge called before serviceman was going to arrive to let us know he was on the way. He was at the house within 20 minutes (at the appointed time). He replaced the one frayed cable and had to replace the cable drum. He showed me the drum, how it had been jerry rigged and how it probably caused the cable to fray over time. Then he checked other cable and said it was fine and did not need to be replaced. Also he lubricated all the rollers and springs for the garage door. He had it all done in 45 minutes. Bill total was $130 (difference was for the cable drum). Was totally satisfied with quality of work and professionalism. Also, mentioned I needed to replace weatherstripping on bottom of garage door. Serviceman took time to explain what type we needed and apologized for not having any with him but wrote the type on the bill. He then explained in detail how to change it out and how to make it longer because it shrinks over time (that is what happened to ours and left about 1-2 inch gap on either side). Said we could stop by office and buy some. Stopped by office and Marge gave me about 20 feet (for a 16 foot garage door) for $16. She said they always give more than enough and don't charge for the extra. She was great too.
Changed out weatherstripping and serviceman's info was very valuable.

My renters told me on Christmas Eve that the garage door had made a horribly lound noise and the door would no longer open. I called two different companies on the Monday after Christmas and Crawford offered to check with their tech and see if they could squeeze my job in their existing schedule that day (otherwise they'd commit to the following morning, first thing). They called me right back to let me know they thought they'd be able to do my job if the job the tech was currently going to didn't have any surprises. They called a short while later to confirm that they could do the work and gave me a time they would be there. They called to let me know when they were on their way, and had it fixed in about 1/2 hour. They quoted me a price over the phone for what I described as a broken spring, and it turned out I was right and paid exactly what was quoted. The person I spoke to on the phone and the technician were very professional and courteous and I was very grateful for Marge to do some scheduling magic to get the repair scheduled as quickly as possible.

Installed as expected

I was impressed with the "homey" reception I got and the professionalism of their technicians. He even suggested how to do better preventative maintenance to save a service call in the future. I never thought I would find small town service here in South Florida.

Contacted windstorm mitigation company to try and reduce property insurance. My garage door was not up to new code as of 2004, so I called Crawford, they scheduled an appt. and came out twice: first for estimate and second time to be sure new bracing on back would clear cabinets. I asked for a recheck as I thought I would have to dismantle cabinets to make room; all was good. They adjusted height number and set appt. convenient to my schedule. They called to confirm, promptly showed up, removed old and installed new. It took 1/2 day to get them in early, as it gets hot! I called for a re- inspection by insurance company and got 30% off which paid for the door in first year; A-1 work! I endorse their work fully! Ken Jaffie

The overall process from originally calling the company to completion was tremendous. They took care of all the details including getting the permit and getting the inspector to come to the house after it was done. They came and measured the door without me ever having to go to their office. The work was done in less than 2 hours and the work was excellent.
