My kitchen went from a U shape with a bar to a galley style with an island. In the original kitchen, all of the cabinets lacked functional space and there was a huge amount of wasted space behind the cabinet areas. Pete from Cabinets Your Way came in and helped me to design the kitchen to get the maximum amount of space (like corner cabinets and small and quot;spiceand quot; cabinets along the sides of the stove). The space in my kitchen tripled - I went from 3 double cabinets, 4 single cabinets and 3 drawers to 2 double cabinets, 8 single cabinets, 2 corner cabinets, and 6 drawers! Pete also installed a cabinet door that contains the trash can - I love having the trash can concealed. The entire kitchen looks fabulous and still looks brand new. The cabinets were made in the USA and the hardware is very durable - no signs of wear anywhere.
My general contractor told me an island was not possible because of the requirements for space needed between the wall and the end of the island. The contractor suggested 12and quot; deep cabinets. No way! Pete came in and looked and said he would think about it. A couple of days later he came back and said he could figure it out and he did! He got me full-size cabinets with cabinet height top with a bar height countertop on top! He made custom braces that match the cabinets to support the bar and he gave me a shelf on top of the corner cabinet as a and quot;surpriseand quot;!
Pete and his crew are really top notch! They arrived on time, did the work in one day and Pete followed-up with me to make sure I was happy with everything. All you would want in an outstanding contractor and more!
Thank you so much, Cabinets Your Way!
