Outstanding service. I had 2 old watches that were no longer working. They were expensive and they have a lot of sentimental value as well. I couldn't find anyone in my area of Coral Springs or Broward County that seemed trained to repair these older watches. Luckily I found Bennisson's on Angie's List. My watches were expertly repaired for a very reasonable and fair price. It was well worth the trip from Broward County to West Palm Beach in order to save my watches. I had pretty much given up hope of finding someone knowledgable and competent enough to do the repairs. Howard, the watchmaker, trained in Switzerland and he approaches this task with great skill and caring. He is a very fine gentleman and very gifted at what he does.

Our experience with Mr. Bennisson was superb.  We brought our antique clock to him for repair.  We had recently transported the clock to Florida when we moved.  Mr. Bennisson examined the clock and told us that it did not require repairs.  Mr. Bennisson adjusted the clock and told us how to care for it.  He then replaced batteries in three watches.
We were thoroughly impressed with Mr. Bennisson's expertise and his integrity.  Rather than confirming that our clock was
broken, Mr. Bennisson was honest and told us that it did not require repairs.  We were so pleased with our experience that we have told several of our friends about Mr. Bennisson and we will use it again
Thank you, Angie's list for another wonderful contractor.  Angie's list has provided us with all of our contractors since we had moved to Florida.  Each reference was wonderful.  Angie's list will always be our source for contractors.

WORST PLACE EVER!!  STAY FAR FAR AWAY!!!
I never write reviews but I had to do it this time. I can't let anyone else go through the same nightmare.
Howard and Ian, wow.....where to start.
I had call Howard asking him to replace the hands, pushers and crowns for my Omega Vintage watch with parts I had purchased myself and that were NOS Omega parts. He assured me he was Omega authorized and qualified to do this job.
I brought the watch to his shop were I also met Ian , his apprentice. After talking to Howard for a few minutes about the details of the job I realized Howard had no idea what the difference was between pushers and crowns, That should have been my first clue to run far away with my watch but I decided to give him a chance. ( my BIG misstake ).
They told me 2 weeks and assured me I would be pleased.
So a week and a half went by and Howard called me with a HORRIBLE attitude telling me that my parts were all wrong and that I was waisting his time. After talking to him for 15 minutes and explaining him that those were indeed the correct parts from Omega he went to his computer and checked ( you would think he would have checked that before calling me, WRONG ) and agreed that they were correct and asked me for one more day to work on my watch.
The next day I called Howard and again with a horrible attitude he told me that there was nothing he could do for my watch and I should come to pick it up.
So I did. ( 1 hour drive)
When I arrived he had no clue who I was and the first thing that came out of his mouth when I walked into his shop was that he was in a horrible mood and stressed out because his apprentice Ian had just messed up the back case of a $5000 Breitling because he has no idea what he is doing and that he was in big s*** (actually his words).
I asked for my watch and checked it realizing that after working on my watch Howard or Ian did not put it back the proper way, the chronograph second hand would now not re-set to the proper position.
They agreed to fix it saying that it would be done by the end of the day. I had told them that i was leaving town for a week and I needed my watch back and they assured me it would be done before I left.
By the end of the day I had no heard from them so I called  and Ian told me that Howard was having a hard time fixing it ( remember, he broke it) and that It would not be done. I was now upset. This watch is 45 years old, It was given to me by my father and It was in perfect condition before I brought it to Howard. After arguing for a few minutes with Ian I heard Howard screaming and yelling like a lunatic on the background cussing at me telling me to F**** OFF.  Unbelievable. I was leaving town the next morning and my watch was all opened up so I had no choice but to leave it with them and pray that he would fix it and not ruin it even more.
I got back after 5 days and called them asking about my watch, Ian assured me it was fixed and had been checked and to come and pick it up.
I drove there ( 1 hour ) and Ian was there, gave me my watch. I checked it and surprise!!! now the minute hand of the chronograph was not center properly and the watch was scratched. They messed it up again. I showed it to Ian and he now tells me that when he got my watch he didn't check it and that MAYBE it was already broken....UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!
He told me he would not work on my watch any more and told me to leave his store. Howard never came to face me and was hiding on the back of the store the whole time.
So unless you just want to change your watch battery or the band I would NEVER NEVER bring you high end piece to BENNISSON, they have NO CLUE what they are doing. You are safer taking your watch to the mall kiosk.
Good luck.
A very unhappy customer with now a broken watch.

They called last week to inform me that the clock was successfully repaired, and wanted to set up a date to reinstall it.
We set up a date that worked for me, and they showed up as planned and on time to reinstall. The gentlemen that arrived were courteous and took their time adjusting the sound of the chime, the pendulum, etc.  I am happy to say that the clock is running smoothly and keeping excellent time.

After taking my wall chiming clock in, they told me there were unable to fix it. I asked them to call me back because I had some questions and then didn't respond. I have had to call them back. Plus...I just got the feeling that they didn't want to bother with me. I don't understand why they can not put another clock in my beautiful wood case...I just don't trust them. They have given my clock to another clock maker for parts...although they told me the clock was shot. I just don't trust them.
Response from Bennisson Watch & Clock Repair Services

"Some things are not repairable and this particular clock's movement/mechanism was beyond repair. The client was so informed. Clock movements do not come in a "one size fits all". If the client can obtain a movement for the clock, we would gladly install it for free!"

Did a good job initially, but when we asked about moving not very helpful.  Were willing to pay to have them move it and they discouraged it and did not seem anxious to help, kept providing instructions for doing it ourselves.  Given the delicacy of the clock which is over 25 years old, we were not comfortable doing it ourselves, and sure enough had issues after the move.  With the lack of interest in coming out to service us, we went somewhere else.
Response from Bennisson Watch & Clock Repair Services

"Bennisson is a watch and clock repair company and is not in the moving or transportation business. We graciously informed the customer that we were unable to transport his clock, referred him to a moving company, explained how to prepare the clock for safe transport, and told him we would set it up at his new location, despite the fact that the new location was well outside our service area."

Work was done very professionally and as promised.  We're very pleased - the clock hasn't worked this well since we've had it - about 40 years.

I brought the watch for repair (it needed a mainspring) in June -- was still untouched/unrepaired in October so I picked it up and will use another provider.
Response from Bennisson Watch & Clock Repair Services

"[Member name removed] brought in a vintage Longines, circa 1955, on June 30, 2014. Upon examination, our watchmaker determined the watch required a new mainspring and an overhaul. After checking with Longines, for whom Bennisson is an authorized repair service center, and other supply houses both in the US and Europe, we found that the required part is no longer available for this obsolete watch. [Member name removed] was telephoned in mid July and informed of the situation. He was again telephoned in August, and September requesting he pick up his watch. The watch was finally retrieved in October. [Member name removed] was not charged for the time Bennisson spent in analyzing his watch or in our attempt to obtain the necessary part required to restore his timepiece. Bennisson Watch takes pride in the service we extend to our clients. We wish [member name removed] every success in having his watch repaired."

The service went fine. The clock was at the shop less than a week. The store was good and had a bunch of old clocks around. I would tell a friend or family member that they are competent and fair.

All work is done in a professional manner. Howard came to my  house to repair my grandfather
clock - and repaired the family's watches at his shop. I would not hesitate to use him in the future. I would also
be pleased to recommend him to others.
