After my generator was installed they proved to be equally as caring and responsive to my every generator need. They are the best of the best in EVERY regard. just had my generac generator system done by them--- all was great from start to finish- salesman helpful and knowledgeable- price quite fair- workmanship excellent and very timely. they explained all parts of process as well as made sure i was familiar with operation etc. very pleased customer WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

I have been a customer of Alternate Power Solutions for almost 2 years & spent over $10k on a generac whole house generator. maintained and comply with the manufacturer's warranties. The seal was leaking and they repaired it under warranty. Their service fees are higher than most but we too felt it was important to have our generators maintained properly by the company who installed it. Unfortunately my main panel got fried by FPL and called them for an estimate for my claim, then they have the nerve to charge $145 and make believe it's an emergency service call. Once your generator install is done you they will nickel and dime you.

APS did not give me the lowest estimate, but contact Ron Eaton provided a detailed description and explained that the higher price was for better equipment than that quoted by other contractors. I was pleased with how smoothly the job went, once permitting and HOA approval was secured the job only took a couple of days including all inspections. Work included installation of the generator, transfer panel and underground electrical wiring plus the below ground propane tank and additional gas piping for gas cooktop, patio gas grill and tankless water heater to be installed at a future date. I wasn't that thrilled with yard cleanup/landscape efforts but APS did return to make a second attempt without additional charge, I will need to have a regular landscape pro address the final details however. Everything functions as it should but attention to detail could be better, visible gas piping for example looks somewhat crude, but admit I am particular about workmanship due to my background as an auto technician. Greasy fingerprints left on a customers car leave a bad impression even if the work was performed flawlessly. I attempted to attach pictures, but AL's website will not cooperate.

SEE ABOVE FOR UPDATED REVIEW.  PREVIOUS REVIEW: We never heard from Anthony and called Melissa the morning of Sept. 4. Melissa apologized, said she would contact Anthony immediately, took our home phone number again. There was no call back, no email, no text, nothing, a no show on the part of the vendor. I will contact Generac directly to inform them of the no show. Considering the potential size of the sale, I'm quite surprised that a vendor would pass up an opportunity to make a large sale.

I have the bi annual inspection contract. The generator was not starting and it was a coolant sensor that needed repair. The repairman( Matt), was able to diagnose and fix the problem. He was pleasant and answered questions I had on the generator.

It is certainly an expensive home investment. But we live in a time when everything is done electronically. And one big storm can easily disrupt that situation.

We have used this company on several occasions in the past. Everytime they are very consistent with their punctuality, professionalism, and affordable pricing. Their work is clean and very professional. On this occassion I actually almost burned the house down trying to install a remote receiver in the our master bedroom ceiling fan. They were out the next morning and installed a beautiful new fan which I had purchased in its place. They also found the cause as to why there was a burn-out of the orignal fan to begin with (faulty wiring due to the previous owner) and may very well have saved my family from a future fire. Also, as a customer service token, they were able to re-set a large number of inoperable outlets after an exhaustive search for the only reset trigger in the home at no cost. I would use this company in a heart beat in the near future.

They are responsive. They are available 24-7. They are also reasonable in price and accept payment plans. They are all about customer service.
