Tropical Paver Sealing

I spoke with and emailed the owners Dana and Amanda Wyandt about the job I needed completed and they were very responsive and accommodating. They sent someone out to measure for an estimate the day I called and I had the estimate by email that evening. I called and emailed them with a few questions and I received answers immediately. I agreed to have them do the work on a Friday and they scheduled me for Monday morning at 8:00 am and the workers were there promptly. They did a great job! The pavers are clean with no extra gritty sand left behind and they took care not to get an abundance of sand in the pool. They removed the weeds that were growing between the pavers on their hands and knees. We had some pavers that had turned white and they were able to bring the color back to them as well. I had 3 estimates done for this job and this company was by far the most responsive and experienced in my estimation. Their price was the most fair of all and I only gave them a B because I find it hard to believe that a job that takes 4 hours and uses my water, some sand and sealant is this expensive - but I find everything in Florida is expensive and their estimate was right on target with the others and actually a little less. The owners and workers were quick, polite and professional. I will hire them again! Thank you!

I contacted Tropical Paver through Angie's list. They returned my email quickly and their phone call followed shortly thereafter. I spoke with the estimator and described the job of repairing some areas of my paver pool deck, pressure washing and sealing. My pool deck is about 1200sqft and had 4 areas that needed leveling. I explained the job and made an appointment. Since I was not going to be able to meet him for the estimate, as we discussed, I marked the areas that needed repair and moved my patio furniture for him. The morning of the appointment he called me and asked about the repairs/job as if we had never spoken before. He then advised me that his company doesn't do repairs and cancelled the appointment. I got the impression he didn't want to make the trip as it was July3rd, a day before a holiday, or, they were looking for a quick in-and-out job. Tropical Pavers wasted my time. I had read their great reviews on AL and was ready to give them the job so long as the price was reasonable. I don't have time to waste waiting for multiple estimates to save a few bucks.

They responded promptly, delivered the quote, and the job was done the very next morning. Love how the pavers look now. Only thing I didn't get was the website said free driveway pressure wash with job and that wasn't done but not a huge deal. Certainly will use them again.

This company completed the work on time and did a very quality job. They even went above and beyond by helping me replace a few broken pavers and they pressure washed a walkway on the side of my house. Very customer focused and friendly service. They made an old weathered pool deck look new again! Will definitely use them in the future!

I have used many vendors in the Tampa area and these guys were one of the best so far. They did a good job in a timely fashion at a reasonable price. Use quality equipment and did not cut any corners with great attention to detail. Protected my walls and landscape lights which are items I did not expect. Great job Tropical Paver Sealing!

they showed up on time and got right to work , I already had everything off of the lanai. I had asked them to make sure not to get my cabinet and frig wet during the process which they covered , I was happy about that. Everything went smooth they sprayed on three coats as promise . I had wished the finish had a little more shine to it. It was a wet look product. other than that I am real happy with how everything turned out. The guys were great and they cleaned up after them selfs

I've used this company in the past. I had an issue where I needed to have my driveway sealed quickly. They called me back immediately and sent out a crew to do this job for me. As previous experiences were, this one was excellent as well.

I had actually gotten the quote from Dana back in August but we ended up postponing the service because we were having our pool remodeled and didn't want to mess up the work Dana's team did. So we told Dana we could contact them when the model was finished. Fast forward to April 3, I emailed Dana and Amanda back and informed them we were ready to proceed with the service at the earliest convenience. I got a call from Dana that very same day saying he could have his team out to my house that afternoon. I definitely wasn't expecting that quick of a turn around! We set them up for the following Monday 4/7/2014. The team (2 men) were at our house by 8:30am, explained what was going to be done and got straight to work. They were done by 11am and the driveway looked great! Couldn't be happier with the service and the turnout of the driveway. Will definitely use them for future needs!

Dana was very responsive and answered all the questions I had about the process and the product. He gave some helpful hints on solving a couple of problems with mildew and explained carefully what he was going to do and why. He scheduled us very quickly at our request and his employees were polite, clean and friendly. They even offered to put the furniture back at the end of the day. What can I say? Our pavers around our pool were a mess. We had asked our handyman to seal them, and that went terribly wrong. The pavers became white and chalky. Thank God through Angie's list we found Dana. The job the guys performed was fabulous. They were thorough and even came back one extra day to ensure that everything was going to be done right. You can see the before and after pictures. It is unbelievable. Thanks again for everything. We can now enjoy our pool once again!!!

Tropical did an excellent job cleaning and sealing the travertine in our spa area. Dana & Amanda are extremely professional and that carries into the team that did the work. They arrived on site at the promised time, were very courteous, clean and professional. There are a few small issues that I discussed with Amanda and she said that she would stop back at our house and take a look at them. I have already referred Tropical to my neighbors that are looking to have their pavers sealed. I am usually reluctant to recommend any trades to my neighbors for fear that they won't have the same positive experience that I had, but with Tropical I can freely give a referral because I know that they too will have a great result.

Arrived on time, completed job when expected,professional, thorough

Initital contact was a little rocky and was called at the last minute to schedule service for a Saturday, but other than that everything was great. Guys showed up early, were very professional and did a great job. They walked me through what they would be doing and made sure I was comfortable with everything. I will definitely use Tropical again in the future.

Dana is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is not only punctual and professional, but answers his phone and even calls back if he sees he missed your call on caller ID. VERY PROFESSIONAL but personable, as well. Came up with a solution to our concrete sealing needs, and had his crew leader, John (who is a great technician, knows everything about cleaning and sealing!) began the job within 48 hours of my initial contact with Dana. Can't say enough good things! They use eco-friendly products for cleaning and water-based sealants. They moved all furniture and plants, placed cones at the base of the driveway overnight so nobody would drive on the newly sealed concrete, then came back the following day and placed all the plants and furniture back exactly where each item belonged. I have no doubts that if the surface ever needs a touch-up or warranty work, that it would be handled within 24 hours, Tropical is so attentive to the needs of it's customers. Clean, friendly, professional, thorough, pleasant, and more. And the price was great, as well. Thanks, Dana and John!

They were on time. Even after the work was completed and I had a question, the owner was very helpful in answering my questions.

The employees worked very professionally. They were always on time. The end results did not come out to what I was promised. In fact, it looked better before their procedure then when they finished. The finish contained dull areas and very shiny areas. When I asked for an explanation , it was because several years ago a sealer that was not water based was used, therefore areas that did not have as much activity has a different appearance. Perhaps this is true but does not solve the problem.||I was told that the bleaching process used would remove stains, but this was not the case. The stains still exist.||The high pressure washing process left holes along side of may pavers as deep as the pavers are thick. They said that they do not use sand between the pavers for grout, so I will probably expect many pavers to become loose.||I guess I was just disappointed in the out come of the project after spending over $2600 and was relying totally on the guidance of the contractor.

The pavers looked like new when done. Usually our summer wet season will try to cause algae growth so will be checking thoroughly at that time. From reading other's comments, I realized that the price was well worth it. I think so as well.

Dana was quick to answer my voicemail, he came out to my house and I had a quote in hands quickly. His guys showed up on a Sunday to stage and prep the deck then came back on monday to finish the deal. They did an great job. Couldn't be happier with the quality of work. the deck looks new again!

Tropical Paver sealing was able to remedy the confusion and so I retract my erroneously stated review.

I called for an estimate back in the summer of 2013 and was pleased with the response time. I had a professional estimate in my email within 2 business days, and I was able to speak at length with the owner about the issues I was having with algae growth and the fading on the pavers. I was very skeptical that he could do the job to my level of satisfaction and I took some time to continue to shop and research. After several months, I decided to hire Tropical, and I am VERY glad that I did. A two man crew showed up at my home and spent several hours pressure cleaning, and applying the 3 coats of sealer. Not only do the pavers now pop with color and shine, but the crew made no mess whatsoever and were very careful not to damage any plants or any other items surrounding the pool deck. I will definitely hire them again when needed, great experience.

The job went great! The crew showed up first thing in the morning as promised. They were very nice and informative on what they were going to do. While off taking the kids to school they cleared some of the left over furniture off the patio and stacked it very nicely, which they did not have to do.. First they packed the sand in the pavers, pressure washed them and then sealed. This included my driveway/walk area and my whole outside pool, deck and lanai. They put a nice ribbon barrier around the pavers to keep people from coming into that area, that was great. The pavers are clean, super rich looking and have all the neighbors talking! Super experience, would highly recommend.

I got a very quick response once I signed up for the coupon and we scheduled a date within a week. The two workers came towards the end of the day on Friday (3:20 p.m.) as they had to finish up a previous job. I thought they would be arriving in the morning. No one called me, so I called the company and was told they would be coming later. One guy worked on the pressure washing of the driveway and sidewalk while the other pressure washed the deck around the pool as well as other pavers around the exterior of the lanai. They did a good job. The next morning they came around 7:45 to seal the pavers. They finished in under 2 hours. We were told to stay off the surface for 24 hours which we did. The next day, we didn't think the pavers looked as renewed as we thought they would. The owner said they would look like they do when water is splashed on them. So I called the owner and told him I couldn't tell they had been sealed. He sent two guys on Monday morning and they applied more sealant. We are happy with the results and appreciate their coming back so quickly to take care of it.

The pavers on our back patio were in need of cleaning, and we could not tell when the previous owners had last sealed the pavers. I found Tropical Paver Sealing on Angie's List, and was impressed by the great reviews. I called Dana and asked if he could come give me an estimate. He was able to stop by the next morning. He explained the process he used to clean (so that most of the dirt does NOT end up in the pool) and explained why he used the water-based sealer and how it would be applied. We set the appointment to have Tropical Paver Sealing come and clean and seal the pavers on Friday morning. On that day, rain was forecast for the afternoon. The two person crew explained that the sealer would not be applied on that day due to the weather forecast. The crew proceeded to do a great job cleaning the pavers, and very little dirt ended up in the pool. Since more rain was expected the next day, we rescheduled the sealing for Monday. On Monday, the crew made sure the pavers were still clean and used a blower to make sure that the rain that fell over the weekend did not wash any dirt onto the pavers. The crew then applied three coats of sealer, being careful to use a shield to prevent any overspray from hitting the sliding doors, pool cage,etc. After each coat had been applied, the crew wiped up any excess sealer that had flowed onto the drain strips surrounding the pool area. This attention to detail greatly impressed me! The crew finished up, cleaned up all of their tools and materials and left everything in excellent condition. I was very pleased, and I will be calling Tropical Paver Sealing in a few years when I need to have the pavers sealed again.
