I wanted 2 estimates, both from Angie's List companies. Both came after I called and gave professional assessments and estimates. Both said the lime tree would be fine with new growth already coming out, so no work required. I choose Tom's because of previous work removing a nasty palm with long barbs. Tom came on time, trimmed the oak and cleaned up, all in 4 hours. He removed some small girdling roots and the tree looks fine. Looking forward to no troubles with the oak and having a neatly trimmed tree, especially once the leaves come out with warmer weather.

We had a few bids from other companines around Tampa and when I called Tom's he wanted to meet in person to discuss, which I thought was very professional. I had originally wanted to do more services but Tom gave his expertise and informed me that some trees didn't need trimmed. He trimmed a few various trees, was great to work with and very courteous. I like how he wanted to meet with me in the beginning and even did a follow up call to make sure it was to our liking. I will be keeping his number on hand and would recommend him and his service to anyone.

He and his crew were very polite and picked up all of the debris that they cut down. The price was what we agreed upon. I felt that he had done way more work then we had agreed upon but the price still stayed the same.

The tree removal went very well. Tom is professional, on-time, and as best I can tell...honest. My experience has been that those qualities are difficult to find in the Tampa Bay area. I definitely recommend Tom for tree service.

Tom returned our initial phone call in quick time. We scheduled a visit for an estimate. On Tom's visit, he talked us through his recommendations with ease and clarity, and he never pressured us to schedule the work. We took a day to review Tom's recommendations, and we decided on the work described above (we also have a larger, dying oak tree that'll need some help later if a hurricane doesn't knock it over first). We scheduled a time, then had to reschedule twice due to work. Tom was patient, and he was able to accommodate us. On the day of the job, Tom and his partner worked skillfully, and kept the job site clean. Watching Tom take down the Holly tree, and trim the Oak, we had no worries about property damage, or about Tom's safety. He was careful, always wearing a harness, and he deliberately worked through the job. A nosy neighbor called Temple Terrace, who sent an inspector. The inspector endorsed Tom's tree recommendations and work, so we'll stop at that. Great job!

We wanted someone who had experience as an arborist and who would do minimal damage to our yard. We were extremely happy with the service provided. They actually showed up a couple of days early and completed the work within two days, with absolutely no damage to our yard. They were very proficient and professional in their work. I have referred them to our neighbors who will be using them this fall. We had three estimates for the job, they were not the lowest price but worth every penny.

Tom's price was more than fair and though the tree was quite dead and hung over power lines and my house, work was completed without any damage to my home. They repaired any minor problems caused by falling limbs -- repouring a cement walk, relaying a chipped piece of brick path, repairing a leaking pipe under the tree. I was less pleased with the stump-grinder, who didn't come when originally scheduled, ripped up my lawn with his truck and caused some of the damage to walkways.

TOM WENT THROUGH A THOROUGH ON-SITE ESTIMATING PROCEDURE. HE VIEWED THE TREES, GAVE ME HIS OPINION AS TO THE OVERALL HEALTH OF THE TREES AND WHAT WORK WAS NEEDED TO GET THE TREES INTO OPTIMUM SHAPE TO MAXIMIZE THEIR HEALTH AND LIFESPAN. HE DISCUSSED VARIOUS OPTIONS TO HELP ME ACHIEVE OUR BUDGET. TOM PERFORMED ALL OF THE TRIMMING WORK HIMSELF AND DEMONSTRATED A UNIQUE ABILITY TO SAFELY ACCESS ANY SPOT IN THE TREES THAT NEEDED TRIMMING. HIS TIME ESTIMATE WAS RIGHT ON TARGET, AND HIS CREW CLEANED UP AND DISPOSED OF EVERY BRANCH, TWIG AND LEAF DROPPED ON THE GROUND. WHEN THE WORK WAS COMPLETED, BOTH MY WIFE AND I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THIS WAS, BY FAR, THE BEST TRIMMING JOB WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. HE DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB RAISING THE CANOPY AND THINNING OUT THE TREES TO ALLOW FREE PASSAGE OF AIR AND SUNLIGHT. WE WOULD HEARTILY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES TO ANYONE!
