Outstanding. I have used Omega for three large projects to date. The owner always quickly responds, the price is fair and the work performed is always excellent. I cant say enough about the crew that completes the work. They are professional, are obviously experts in their field and are a pleasure to deal with. Buck showed up with the 4 man crew, two trucks and equipment. This included a bucket arm truck for trimming the oak high up, the chipper machine trailer and a 4 wheeled font in loader type vehicle but with pincher type mechanism good for lifting heavy logs. They made short work of it. On the big stump that was uprooted on one side by the hurricane, they used the loader type pinchers to just grab it and yank the whole thing out of the ground...amazing to watch. And I was so happy. Only finish landscape work left for my handyman filling the hole with 10 bags of store bought dirt and removing small roots still partially connected into the ground. I will always call Omega to get them as one of three quotes for any future work. I used them before 3 years ago on a different house and had similar great results.

We have a number of large Oak trees in our rear yard and getting access to them is difficult. I noticed Omega Tree & Nursery working recently in a neighboring development. I was impressed with their safe operation and ability to access tight areas. On that basis I made a phone call and talked to Buck Rollings. He is extremely knowledgeable about Grand Oak regulations, Permitting and Safety. He made a point to come to my location to verify his team could access my site and that my request complied with code. (It did). Buck followed up with a professional and highly detailed proposal and we then scheduled for 6/15/17. He called a day ahead to confirm the appointment and then called again just before arrival. He and his workers converged on my site and took only 2 hours to completely and safely prune my Oaks. This was really important because they had grown over the roof of my house and the lanai. If something had slipped or fallen it would have been a bad day. They made sure everything happened as planned and when done they cleaned up completely. This type of work is difficult and can be very dangerous, so finding a company like Omega that has the best people and equipment available, and actually keeps there word is like finding a diamond. My father had used this company last year with very good results, so when he recommend them for my tree removal, I was happy to go with them. "Buck", one of the owners of the company, promptly came out after I had called. He looked at the tree and found out that it indeed was damaging the sidewalk area and explained what would be involved in the removal. He also explained that since it was a live Oak Tree, that we would need a permit from the county. Due to the fact that it was damaging property, he felt it wouldn't be a problem. He told he would be happy to handle the permit portion of the work, he then measured the tree and informed me that I would need to replace it with another tree, he also suggested where I should put it, to avoid future problems. He also recommended some nurseries and suggestions on replacement trees, as he is an arborist. He gave me the date that work would begin, they arrived promptly at home early in the morning. They cleared away all of the debris that was caused due to the downing of the tree, and he came out to inspect the work of his people. He made sure that no lines; such as cable or phone were compromised by the removal of the tree. He also had his people stay until the stump removal people came, so they could be given clear instructions on what they need to do. The stump removal people also did an excellent job, before they came out to remove the tree I had the permits and information for the replacement of a new tree. I would recommend them to anyone for their integrity and great communication throughout the job.

First Buck came out and gave us a quote within a day of contacting him. They came when said and work was completed when said. Great bunch, everyone was working constantly, no standing around. Awesome service, great response, very reasonable. Very impressed. Our tree guys for life!

Omega Tree Service did a beautiful job giving our trees a "hair cut"....one that was much needed!  Buck is knowledgable, his employees are respectful, and they did an amazing job. My daughter was terribly upset that we were cutting out trees, and Buck took the time to explain to her and help her understand the importance of trimming them and taking good care of them.  He even helper her see great potential in the trees for a tree house now that it was trimmed.  It's been a few months, and our tree have grown back beautifully.  I highly recommend Omega Tree Service.

The Omega team was on time and Buck Rollins (president) did a walk through with us and his team.  The Omega team was very patient with our directions about trimming the trees, and they were careful, professional, and skilled. Buck checked the work and made sure that we were happy with the services.

Buck came by to give a quote and provided some great advice. I had a couple of other Angie's list quotes. We ended up doing the job on the spot for an unbeatable offer. He's extremely honest and hard working. You can tell he loves what he does. Recommend him and his crew in a heartbeat to anyone. He was quick and dedicated to perfection. My tree guy for life!

They provided excellent service.  They needed a cherry picker to do the work.  They took $200 off the original fee. They were here early in the morning. He went out of his way to do a great job.  We've had 2 other companies out and he was by far the best.  I will definitely go back to him again.

Buck was amazing!  He was very knowledgeable about the trees and did what was best for them.  He didn't just go in there and start digging and trimming. He actually takes the time to do what's best for the tree and that's rare. He takes the time to talk to you, explains what he is going to do and answers any questions you might have.  He is very honest, and that's rare out there. He is very easy to access by phone.
I LOVE that he actually cares and knows about trees!  His team is very careful in what they do.

They showed up when promised, did the work that was quoted and even made suggestions about some other trees, which we had them cut also. The neighbors were watching and also hired them to cut their trees.

Perfection.

I had three good bids from Angie's list providers.  All could have done this job.  Omega was the low bidder and so I gave them the business.
We scheduled and all arrived as planned.  They brought a "bucket truck"  (a large truck with a bucket that a man can stand in attached to a long arm with a center and base joint.   This allows the man to go very high into the air to work on the tree.  They also brought a front end loader which turns by a hinge in the middle of the vehicle(not by wheels turning).  The front end loader had two large clamps which could be closed down on the wood load to keep it from falling away.  They also brought a truck/trailer to load the tree debris onto so as to haul it away.  No chipper machine was used.
They first dismantled the backyard tree using the bucket truck.  Now with the tree in a heaping pile on the ground, they used the front end loader to pick up as much as it could and take it to the  trailer parked in the street, using multiple trips.
They did great work, finishing this job in 1 hour 40 minutes.  Quite amazing.  The only things they could have done a little better was lay out more plywood and sooner to prevent the wheels from the heavy equipment from making ruts.  Also some of the pieces did crash into the ground hard enough that they pounded holes into the yard in several places as much as 8 inches deep.  Most of the heavy cuts were lowered to the ground with  a rope at controlled slower speeds.  This being said,  I was very happy that they were very careful not to let tree debris or equipment damage the house, multiple storage sheds or covered parking spaces.  Yea!
One other thing that I would recommend to Angie's List members when you are having a tree cut down and do not intend to have the stump ground:  Specify a 1/4 inch high finish cut on the stump.  Get that on your quote.  I wanted this, another provider promised the
1/4 inch finish cut but I wound up with a 2 inch tall stump.  Way to tall for a lawn mower to drive over.  It will only take a provider maybe 5 extra minutes to do a final 1/4 inch "finish" cut on that stump.  Make sure the boss man knows this and it appears on any written estimates.
So to sum up, I am very happy that this very large tree is gone and would hire this provider again.

After we decided to go with Omega, he also quickly provided evidence of insurance. Buck kept in contact throughout the process and returned all contact immediately, and even asked if we had questions/feedback while they were doing the work, as they wanted to ensure they had met our needs. Work was done exactly as specified and with high quality - we are very satisfied. Will plan to use again for future tree work; I don't have to worry anymore about finding quality tree maintenance for my home.
