Austin gave us an estimate and advised that it would probably be the most expensive, but that they were the best. Our lawn care company had recommended them. The proposal stated that the old sod would be removed, new topsoil would be placed and then new sod would be installed, which they stated was top grade sod. My next door neighbor also got an estimate. We scheduled the installation for both yards on the same day. The two men who came out were very nice, but apparently hadn't seen the estimate. They didn't bring enough sod for the complete job and left for several hours mid-day to get more. The quality of the second batch of sod was not the same as the original. It was very dry and withered. They said that would not hurt it. They did not put down new topsoil and when I told them it was in the estimate, they said we didn't need it, our soil was fine. They were also supposed to turn the sprinklers on before they left to make sure the areas would be watered. They said that they didn't need to do that either. I believe the job ran much longer than they had anticipated and they were just trying to get done. We followed their instructions and watered daily for the first month and have had the yard fertilized and follow a regular watering schedule. Three months later and both areas look as bad as they did before we replaced the sod! Those two areas are FULL of weeds and half of the grass is dead. Several neighbors got sod from Home Depot and Lowe's and put their own in and all of those yards look better than ours! My neighbor actually contacted them about her yard, which I was also going to do, but due to their response to her, which was pretty much "You're on your own. We aren't responsible unless you use us as your lawn maintenance company." Since their price for sod installation was so high, my neighbor and I chose to remain with our current provider, NLT (who are members of Angie's List). We would not recommend using this company unless you want to throw away your money.
