I have previously reviewed them and been very happy (2/3/2011). Also recently they installed 4 new tires for me and did a good job. This time however, not so much at all! Since they had installed my tires, I brought the car back to them to find the source of a high speed vibration that occurred immediately after hitting a pothole very hard. I knew it was coming from 1 or both of right side wheels since that's what hit the pothole. As the car was due for a tire rotation anyway, I asked them to check the balance of each wheel, and also inspect each wheel (particularly the right side wheels) for any out of round (dent/bent/damage) while they were balancing/spinning. Then rotate the tires and let me know if any were found either out of balance or out of round. Pretty simple request and standard approach for finding the source of vibration after a pothole hit. At first they were reluctant to do anything, either balancing or rotating for fear they might make the problem worse, or move the problem to another location. I told them I understood that, and just wanted them to remove, check, rebalance the wheels in order to find the problem. After much discussion and some unknown friction with the mechanic and clerk, it seemed they agreed to do the requested work. 3 hrs later they give me back the car and basically say they balanced and rotated the tires. No information as to if any were actually found to be out of balance, or if any wobble or damaged wheel was found. Nor did they note what rotation pattern they rotated the tires so I would at least know where the right side tires now were. Well the vibration was still there, so I assumed it must be a bent wheel that they either did not notice or care to tell me about. I bought a new tire and wheel online and had another shop mount the tire. Then I jacked up my car in the driveway to be able to spin the wheels and look for damage/wobble. Bingo.....the first wheel I checked was the right front and it had a very noticeable wobble, both up and down, and inboard/outboard. This was easy to see! I decided to try to find if there was another bent wheel, ie; the other previously right side wheel. Since the front is easier to jack and spin, I went to the front left side to spin that. This is where it all went bad. While spinning the wheel, my right index finger hit the brake caliper and was severely shattered and hanging by a small piece of remaining flesh. The afternoon was spent at the Palms West ER getting my finger shot up, xrayed, bones put back together and sewn back on. Now I am facing extended healing time, rehab, and uncertain return of function. Not to mention about $5 grand in medical bills. All this typing is with my other fingers that actually work. While I can't directly blame Apex directly for this accident, I am confident it would never have happened if they would have just done a simple job that I asked them for of identifying any obvious wheel damage. And it WAS OBVIOUS as I found it 10 seconds just spinning the wheel in the driveway. To be fair, I did get a text from Wes the owner (before I got the new wheel and sheared off my finger) asking if I was happy with the service and I gave a detailed reply as to why I was not satisfied. He replied that they balanced all 4 wheels and offered to re-inspect the car. I asked if I could call him directly and never received another reply, so I just dropped the issue knowing from process of elimination that I must have at least one bent wheel and would fix it myself or elsewhere given the difficult time they gave me over the 1st service. In they end, I did have my other mechanic install my new wheel and tire on the right front where I found the bent wheel and the vibration is completely gone. Definitely not happy that this shop could not perform a very simple service and it ended up costing me a finger. <

I had pretty much done my own troubleshooting but these guys did a very quick turnaround and returned my vehicle with a wash and vacuum. They also washed my engine as requested at no charge. This is the second time I've used them. Price-wise, they are competitive and they know what they're doing This particular job was a big one because of extremely difficult access. They still turned it around in 24 hours with almost zero notice of my arrival. I plan on using them again.

(I actually went to the Lantana location) My friend closed his auto shop so I had to look for another place to take my vehicle. These guys were close and reviews on Yelp were good. Just needed an oil change but the service was really nice and the place was so clean, cleaner than some doctors offices I've been to! I will soon be in need of tires and some other service and I will definitely go back here.

Emailed them on 2/11/16 to find out fees for a project and have not heard back from anyone.

Oil and filter change and tire rotation performed.
Was told that my new battery needed replacement. Since it was still under warranty by AAA, from I had purchased it, I called AAA Mobile Battery Service as soon as I got home and asked that they check battery. Battery was measured at 827 CCA. Battery rated at 580 CCA. It did NOT need to be replaced.
Was told that one of the brake bulbs was out and needed replacement. I gave the go ahead to replace it (for $18). When I checked out I was told that it required LED bulbs and they didn't have them and therefore did not change the bulb. When I got home I checked all the brake lights and backup lights and they all worked fine, without having been replaced.
Clicking noise diagnosed as an A/C attenuator, however, was told they had to take attenuator out to check it at a cost of $108
(1 hour's labor).
Bottom line, they try to sell you services that are not needed at a very high price. I will NEVER return to Apex Automotive for any service.

I feel I'm driving a new car. My AC works so well, so cold, I had to turn the dial to warm. They went over my car and found just minor things, and I had it done too. The service has a two year warrenty. not the Ac freon. Great price, very honest. And I know I'm going to say good bye to the and quot; honda dealershipand quot; the next time my car needs an oil change. They even have a great coupon on that too. Ask them about it.

These are the first people I call with both our Mercedes and an older BMW. They are always professional, no hidden costs and the work is always excellent.

Great, they are very friendly family owned mechanic who have been in business for more than ten years. They only did an oil change and 30,000 mile servicing. But I will go back for other issues as well.

It was clear that Apex was not going to deal with me fairly - for reasons that may have had nothing to do with their ability to perform the service. As I said above I got a bad feeling as soon as I walked in the door. If I could, I would have walked out the door right then but they already had the vehicle.

My wife went w/o appointment for a check engine light and disturbing noise to her Volvo 2002. No waiting at all, a fast diagnostic identify the source of the problem. Where in other places request to leave the car over couple of days to look for the problem, in less than a day the team at APEX ID the problem and fix it. At the end of the day my wife was driving her car w/o any issue.
I was very happy and thanks to the APEX team for save me the trauma to have to car pooling with my wife while her car get fit it!!!!

Apex Automotive were excellent. Their price was reasonable.

Wow, it is possible to have a good experience with an auto service vendor. Called to make appt for service - I was able to bring car in next day. I was told it would be best if I left the car and picked up later. I was called when the standard work was completed and was told fluids looked a bit iffy but nothing I had to immediately take care of now. However, I decided to go ahead a have the extra service performed. I never felt I was being talked into service that wasn't needed - the decision was mine. I felt that they were being very honest with me. Great people to do business with - comfortable atmosphere. My car runs like new.

I brought in a 15 year old car when the air conditioner stopped blowing cold. I fully expected to pay $1,000.00 or more for a new compressor.

Instead, Apex took the time to try to find out what was really wrong. They even put some dye in the a/c system to try to determine where it was leaking.

In the end, the repair cost me $200.00 for freon and labor. I think they really tried to work with me and I will return the next time I need to repair my car.

I sent my 19 yr old daughter there with 4 tires from tire rack to have them installed. Also had her request an oil change. They did the work for the price they list on the internet and did an oil change for $29. They didn't try to pull anything over on her, upsell her, or jack her up with additional fees. They just did the work requested for a fair price. In this day and age, that's becoming rare. I have 3 cars that will need some mid-life fluid flushes, etc, and I plan to bring therm all there soon.
