Advanced Roof

i noted a roof leak in my den and now  in need of a roofer, called a company that had done some chimney repair for me about a year previously. The owner Frank, examined the roof from above and presented me with an explanation of work to be done accompanied with a 1 year guarantee  . A few days later, he returned, spent slightly less than 1 hour on the roof, said he had found and repaired the leak. I paid him his request for $350.
Two days later, we experienced a driving rain and the same leak reappeared. I called Frank immediately and his answer was "I'll be there first thing in the morning". He never showed even after repeated daily calls. Sometimes he returned my calls, often, not. it became obvious that he never intended to return and complete his work.
 I then chose a roofing company that had 30+ excellent reviews on Angie's List and the repair was finally accomplished.

The next day, simulated rain was sprayed over the area . It showed the leak had not been fixed. After several phone calls and email to contractor with no response. I called the repairman directly and he said he would come out on 2/3/2011 by 3PM . He never showed up. As a result it became clear that the contractor would not come to repair the leak. My general experience with this company's people is that they are unreliable and incomplete in their work. Caveat emptor.
