The Zabitosky Team did a fantastic job and I am so pleased with the results! We were trying to get our house ready for market and were on a very limited budget and timeline. Zabitosky Construction gave us a thorough estimate and walked us through the entire job step by step. All results were exactly as promised and there were no suprises regarding price or tasks completed. The gentlemen working on site were very professional (even though my tiny dog barked at them the entire time!).
I am so impressed with the work and the manner in which they conduct business that I just can't say enough great things about them! If you need work done, these guys are the BEST!
When asked about the nails he said and quot;well I didn't know it was tongue and grooveand quot;. He complimented me on them when he was over to sign the contract. When asked how he was going to fix them he said he would only grind them down and it will look fine. No where close. It still looks terrible to this day. I told him it would be a little over a thousand to get them fixed he said he would only pay $600. I did it to just get him out of my life and chalk it up as a hard lesson learned.
Then all the leaks start happening. He comes out and says he fixed it and did an awesome job. As soon as it rains water continues to come in. Each time there was a new excuse. One was instead of covering over a old unused gas vent he just put a boot on it. Said it was fixed. That boot has a hole in the top and more water came in.
Where he flashed up to the chimney was a disaster. He came out 3 times to fix that. The last time he said he used a whole can of flex seal. Flex seal it that stuff on the infomercials. Didn't work water kept coming in.
Then I got a ladder one day and noticed that there were rust spots everywhere. I called Mike and he said it was the manufacturer and they will have to replace the roof. The manufacturer came out and said point blank that it's from Mike not properly cleaning off the metal shaving when he drilled the holes. Mike continued to tell me that this guy was lying and its their fault.
So at this point I hired an attorney. We settled to have someone come out and inspect the roof and he was to fix all things that were not up to snuff. He came before the inspection and tried to fix the chimney. When the inspection was preformed he said the what was done was wrong and going to leak. He also noticed that Mike did not put blockers on the ridge cap and rain and animals could get in. as well as host of other things.
LONG STORY SHORT. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID AND HIRE THIS GUY.
"I deeply apologize for your project not going as smoothly as I had hoped it would. I am human and although a seasoned contractor, can have oversights. I believe I tried my best to provide you with a roof that passed all inspections, was up to code and to communicate with you to iron out issues as they arose. Please know that this is in no way the norm for my company, and I am glad that we were able to come to a resolution that you were satisfied with."
"I am terribly sorry that you were caused any irritation during the process of the work my company performed on your home renovation. Every window installation is different, and there can be unforeseen issues arise when windows are replaced due to the original construction of the home. I wish you would have communicated with me that the mudding, texture, and painting that my crew did to fix the imperfections were not sufficient, so that I could have done more to make you a satisfied customer. Please know that I have made changes in my policy and procedures and will not allow future customers to walk away unhappy."
