STEWART TITLE CO

I was in Maine at the time of the closing here in FL. I needed to sign in Maine and Ms. Silverstein in Sebastian wanted to charge me $300 extra to sign in Maine, when I got upset and called the bank she found someone at Stewart Title to do it for free and reciprocate with someone closing in Maine that was in FL. They did not have the survey done prior to closing and I was not told. What was suppose to be my dream house turned into a nightmare. I found out after the closing, the survey was done after the house was closed on. My sister went to the house for me and saw there surveyor there after we had already closed. My neighbor had put a patio a few years prior on my property, it turned into a very bad neighbor situation, they would not even speak to me. Their home is very close to mine. They would not move patio as requested after I forced Stewart Title to send him a letter as I needed my title clear. He ignored it. I had to go through several months of this and finally had to file a claim to have them deal with it. It is still, over 4 months later and a lot of problems for me, is not done. They also recently sent a surveyor on my property and never asked me if he could come or even told me it was being done, but my neighbor was told it was being done for him. I was told I would be furnished a new survey and still don't have that. If you want to have a good closing experience, don't use Stewart title, go with someone else. This has made my new home a very uncomfortable place, I wanted to have a good relationship with my neighbors, not this.
