The crew showed up on time, they were very professional & quickly drained & unclogged my septic. I also received a 10% discount for being an Angie's list member
. I will use them again & would highly recommend this company. Reliable Septic is truly reliable"Thank you very much for the positive review, we are glad your experience with us was great! Thank you for choosing Reliable Septic we look forward to working with you in the future!"
"Thank you for taking the time to review us and for the positive feedback. We look forward to working with you in the future. I see your 2 year maintenance pump out is coming due be sure to give us a call when you are ready to schedule."
I was told they would call 30 minutes prior to arrival, time that I needed to make sure my dogs were in the house. They didn't call, just showed up stating they were in the neighborhood. Fortunately the dogs ran to the front door when they heard the doorbell and I dashed to close the patio door so they couldn't get back into the yard.
Once they left, I opened the patio door so the dogs could go back outside. I finished what I was doing on the computer, then went out to the yard to check the area they were working on. I freaked out when I saw they had left my back gate standing wide open. My dogs are like family and if they would have gotten out and gotten hurt there would have been h*** to pay. The dogs were busy sniffing the area that had been dug up so fortunately they didn't notice the open gate. I also wasn't happy to find they had dragged my garden hose into the yard by the tank and just left it there.
They did come between 9 and 12 as they said they would, and the price quoted was exactly what I paid but I don't think I would use them again based on my comments above.
"(member name removed), Thank you for taking the time to inform us of what happened during your encounter with our company. Having 8 rescued dogs myself this really hits close to home and I too would have been upset if my gate had been left open at my home and any one of my dogs (babies) would have gotten out. With that being said I want you to know that it is with my deepest apologies that my crew did not do the few key steps that are the most crucial part of our service. The first step would be to call you letting you know when our estimated time of arrival would be. This step is very important in our line of work due to unforeseen emergencies that often come up and as a professional courtesy to our customers. The driver has been made fully aware that this is the expectation on every job. The fact that you did not receive your phone call helps me see where we need to improve when it comes to our customer interaction and service. The second area of concern you addressed was the hose being left out by the tank and the gate being left open. Unfortunately, that was plain and simply a case of them not going back and checking over the work area before they pulled out to leave. I cannot stress enough that this step is the most important to me, I take pride in my business and on a daily basis this step is being reiterated with my entire crew because it is very important that when we leave a job, no matter how big or small, that we leave it as it was when we arrived or better. As far as the ”C” ratings you gave us on Responsiveness, Punctuality and Professionalism I do hope you take into account your entire experience with us from the beginning to the end. When you reached out to us through Angie's list you immediately received a response from us, followed by a phone call and then another follow-up response letting you know that we have called so we could schedule your appointment. When you called back to schedule your appointment you actually received a $20 discount for being an Angie's list member rather than the typical $10 off. And as you already mentioned we arrived in the time slot we provided as well. All demonstrating our quick response time, punctuality and professionalism. As far as the amount of time that it takes to pump out your septic tank, that all will depend on the size of the tank you have, how many tanks you have and if you are experiencing any problems that need to be addressed during your visit. However, our truck pumps 110 gallons per minute and for a typical 900 gallon septic tank it should take approximately 7-10 minutes to pump out the tank, that does not include digging time etc…we have two guys working in tandem and the best trucks in the industry allowing us to efficiently take care of 20-35 homes across three counties per day. Over all, I want you to know we take every review we receive as a learning experience and an opportunity to improve our quality of service. You notated that the reason you chose us was due to our reputation and the reason we have a good reputation is because we always take care of our customers and learn from our mistakes. I hope you consider re-evaluating us and use us in the future. Sincerely, Bruce McCullers Owner/ Operator"
I was given tips on how to maintain the system. I also purchased a $50 treatment to prevent problems. This was optional. I definitely will use Reliable again.
"Thank you for your positive review and for your business! See you in a couple of years for your maintenance service."
"Thank you for your response and business!"
"[member name removed], As you know there was a lot of issues that have since then been resolved to your satisfaction and our deepest regrets that anything less then the best service was given. The owner made it very clear to all parties involved of the errors that were made during the progress of your job and corrective action has been taken. Our service is normally top notch and we strive to take care of every customer with the highest integrity and highest standards in septic repair in the Indian River County, so it is with deep sincerity that you had a below average experience with us and we hope in the future you can count on us to deliver a much better one. Thank you for your business. Reliable Septic"
"Thank you for your business!"
"Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Angie's List, your feedback is important to us."
I talked to some of my neighbors and they all recommended Reliable Septic. I called Reliable that same day and the following day (12/27) Bruce and two of his employees showed up at my house. I repeated the facts of the situation and Bruce went right to work. He asked if my distribution box was dug up by the other company for troubleshooting. I told Bruce that the other company only looked inside the access point to my septic tank. One of Bruce's employees dug up the distribution box and it was clear what the problem was. The pipes running from the distribution box to the drain field had separated and the distribution box had collapsed. The employees dug up some of the drain field and the gravel and soil appeared to be unused and like it was put in yesterday. (My home was built in 1989 and I moved in on 5/23/12).
Bruce obtained a permit from our county and installed a new distribution box. In addition, he blasted/jetted my drainfield pipes as a precaution. He installed manhole rings and risers on the tank access point and at the distribution box. The work was completed on 1/7/14. He kept me advised throughout the entire process and his crew left my front yard as they found it.
I can't say enough good things about Bruce and his crew. They were prompt, professional and above all, honest.
"Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Angie's List, your feedback is important to us!"
"Thank you!"
