John did an inspection for a condominium we were purchasing. He has the billing and limitations piece down pat - like a machine. Inspection missed several minor things, and communication was near non-existent - all by email and quick one word answers with no attempt at discussing. We were not local buyers, so would have appreciated a verbal - none. When we finally took posession, found rotted screens, leaking faucets, plantation shutters that were broken. This is where is got very bad: Shutters: “you signed a limitation that said I wasn’t responsible for window treatments” - Really? They are permanently installed mechanical fixtures that will cost thousands to fix. Screens: First agreed to pay for the one I noticed, then when we found two more rotted screens, he wanted to come out and see them. Then, “not sure if you own them, or if they are the responsibility of the association...”. I determined that they are mine, and he stopped responding to my requests for reimbursement to get them fixed. Finally threatened review on AL, and he paid 1/2. I felt like I got the run-around to avoid his reponsibility. Total BS for something he missed and should pay for. I would never use this inspector again.

We weren't happy with them at all. He said everything was fine. Everything looked really good but we had to get somebody out there to fix the roof. It had a leak. We had to get someone out to fix electrical outlets because those were no good. They did the wind mitigation for us. He wouldn't cooperate with the insurance and give them the information they were looking for. I had to go around and take pictures. He did a lousy job and he wasn't cooperative. They had hurricane shutter panels in the garage and they didn't check to see if it fit the windows. It turned out none of them fit the windows. I spent $1500 to get hurricane shutters put on. It's a part of my home inspection. The price was on the high side. He went over quickly and told us everything was fine but it turned out it wasn't. I paid him almost $500.

The work was done on time and a comprehensive report delivered quickly.  The work was professional and done with an attention to detail.  Overall I was very impressed with the product that was delivered.  The only thing that keeps me from rating 5s across the board was on some follow up I tried to do after the report was delivered.  I had two questions which I emailed and called several times about.  I never received any response to any of these contacts.

John and his sons were all over the house. They have a computerized format they follow and make entries as they finish an area. John gives his clients a written evaluation of their findings. He took me around the house and showed me all of his findings. All Were minor. I very pleased with the thoroughness of the inspection and his professionalism. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a thorough professional home inspection.

He is always on time, professional, calm and unaffected by any pressure from listing agents or seller.

John was easy to contact and very responsive. He and his son did a thorough inspection and provided me with a detailed report the same day. I felt like I got my money's worth from an experienced professional.

He is very professional and we trusted him to do the final "walk through" for the purchase, as we were not in the same state at the time.
