This is a fabulous company. They were very responsive to my request for an estimate and worked with my work schedule to come to the office for the initial estimate. The co-owners Zac and Grant were more than willing to accomodate my schedule and requirements for the work performed. The team showed up as promised and, despite equipment issues, worked late into the evening to complete the job. The floor is amazing!! I would highly recommend this company. They are professional, courteous, hard working and cleaned up the job site despite the lateness of the day. I had gotten quotes from other companies and their price beat the others. You will not be disappointed.

It was a technically difficult job because the house isn't on a slab.  Dave fully informed us of the potential pitfalls before beginning the job.  The floor is beautiful, but a little more delicate than we would have liked.  I opted for the matte finish.  In hindsight, I should have used the polypropylene finish which is shiny, but indestructible.
We gouged the floor while installing the washer and dryer.  I called Dave and he was out the next day to repair it.  A concrete floor is not amenable to repairs like a tile floor would be, so you see the repair if you look for it.  Luckily it is in an unobtrusive location.  We are considering adding the polypropylene sealer now to prevent any further nicks.
Dave was friendly, reliable, and responsive.  He was trustworthy and did most of the work while we were not home.  He left everything neat and tidy.

He was hired to do the job listed above in a Euro tile design. He put a paper thin veneer down and I found out later, he really skimped on material. He didn't finish the job because he didn't reinstall the hurricane bolts. He also couldn't be bothered to cover the holes for those bolts. He had me doing his job that he and quot;forgot to doand quot;. Even though the holes were vacuumed and screws put back carefully by me, all the grit he got in there caused the concrete and pop out and break apart. Had he done the job right, this never would have happened. He then told me he could repair the section that was broken after, at my expense, the anchor bolt was replaced (an additional $180). He came back to recolor that section and ruined it (on purpose I think). The color and texture of the repaired section is now purple and the rest of the patio doesn't have a color anything like that. Other parts of the patio are peeling already too. I found out from two other contractors that when he came back to recolor the section that broke because he couldn't be bothered to reinstall the hurricane bolts as he was supposed to do, he mixed the clear coat with the color so that he wouldn't have to do them in two separate steps. This completely ruined the color on that section of the patio. Also, had I not been so dissatisfied with his workmanship, I never would've had to call him and leave repeated messages. If you check other reviews I have posted on Angie's List, you will see that I have mostly been satisfied with providers I have used. This entire job will need to be ground off and redone.

We had an email exchange and now he wants to sell me a refinishing job (5 weeks after I paid for this inferior job. He is what he wrote to me:

THIS IS AFTER I JUST GOT DONE PAYING HIM 5 WEEKS BEFORE TO DO THE JOB PROPERLY. He has refused to provide a statement of warranty so I must believe there is absolutely no warranty on his work. I am currently considering legal action against him and his company. I will also make a BBB complaint. In my opinion, I did not receive what I paid for and was not dealt with integrity or honesty. If you hire him, he will make your life miserable as he makes himself almost impossible to reach.
The entire patio had to be torn up and re-done according to 2 experts who have inspected it. I will post photos which will show exactly how terrible the workmanship is. As well, two experts who inspected the patio mentioned that he used insufficient material presumably to cut corners and save money. This resulted in an almost paper thin veneer of concrete; hardly appropriate for what I paid. The photos will clearly show the sloppiness and lack of attention to detail of which I'm complaining about. Mr. Cowger's claim that I threatened some painters I hired who did work for me on the side, is preposterous. Those painters still do work for me. Every word of this review that I wrote is simply my opinion which is protected by my first amendments rights.
Response from Designer Concrete
"This is quite simple, I was contacted by the member (in his words an Absolute emergency). His back patio had been painted grey and it was urgent to change this to something else, As he couldn't stand to look at it... He selected a euro tile design, which requuired the removal of the grey Xylene coating also included in the ($1,600) cost. The deck was ground, prepared and the install commenced. He has sidewalk bolts for hurricane track in this slab, we placed plugs in holes to protect from any debris, or cementious product getting in there. The install was completed, inspected by the member and paid for. Keep in mind customers write the check when they are The member phoned me for advice on placing the sidewalk bolts in their holes, I told him to use a lithium grease to lubricate and protect for the future. Sometime during the member's installation of the bolts one of them he overtighten, had the wrong length or quite simply the anchor had some corrosion since they sit below the concrete surface. Regardless, if a screw or bolt won't tighten into a hole it should be backed out and looked at for any obstruction or cross threadding. The member blew out a chunk of the original slab plus our work on the top of it. This is where he started with the screaming voicemails (15+) same in e-mails (25+). I explained to the member this is repairable, and yes I also told him his constant rant on the phone wouldn't be accepted and e-mail is the only way I will communicate with him. Once he collected himself, I told him to have a hurricane shutter company resolve his bolt issue and I would at no charge come and touch up the tile section. I stopped by (3) times to restore this tile all to no satisfaction of the member. It was texture, then hue, then wanting it lighter. As I explained on my last trip with the member, these are random colors by design. He phone again the next day, followed with more emails. The approach this time was he didn't like the difference and wanted to redo the entire thing in white because of his changing the stucco (this is a whole different story) to white. He asked me how much to change the deck to white I told him $750, then he asked how much to redo the entire deck in a different color pattern I told him $950. I did tell the member I'm booked solid and to have his other work completed and we could revisit his 30" square complaint after all the other vendors were done. This way if they had damaged the deck by accident we could fix it. He has insisted I make time to fix this and fit him in as its urgent. I told him specifically if he wanted to move up on the schedule to redo this deck either in white ($750) or new coloring selection ($950) he would have to pay in full in advance. I do not trust the member based on his conduct, accusations about my company, complaints about the painters ( he went behind the painting contractors back and hired his guys on the side, then threatened them to tell the owner if they didn't do whatever he was complaining about - I think it was his Elec. meter panel had brush marks. So he insisted they come back , sand and spray it) My last communication with the member was he has reached an intolerable level, I will not communicate with him any further and to find someone else to work on his projects. He has informed me of writing a bad review on Angie's list if I don't comply. I encourage this, also to contact the BBB. Attached find the member's deck as originally completed and the repair as of my last visit. Respectfully John Cowger"

Mr. Cowger and his employee showed up when they said they would, did the work in the amount of time they said it would take and left me with a very nice experience and a beautiful driveway, walkway and patio.

One of the best experiences I have had with any contractor. He came out when we called and gave a very professional estimate after presenting all the options. He did the job exactly when he said he would and I think at a much higher level than most other options we compaired to. Well worth hiring this contractor.
