DC CONSTRUCTION

Our project was a kitchen renovation. We chose D.C Construction because of all of the good ratings they've earned. From the beginning to the end, working with Harley, Cynthia, and the entire crew was a very positive experience. With any remodeling projects there are some issues that come up; old buildings are not perfectly square or level. We changed our mind on one of the cabinets, changing a base to drawers instead of a door. Harley had suggested drawers in the first place, but I insisted a door would be more flexible for my needs. I was soooooo wrong; we returned the door base and replaced it with a drawer base. Harley and Cynthia took it all in stride, even though it caused more work for them. The vendors that they work with were also very helpful and professional. If any problems came up, they were very good at making things right. That kind of service comes from building good relationships, over the years, with their subcontractors. Finally, the crew was an amazing group of guys; they were here on a daily basis. they were highly skilled at their crafts, professional, timely, and courteous, They worked hard the whole time they were here. They made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. In summary, I would highly recommend D.C. Construction for any remodeling or building projects. Our project finished on time and within budget. Our neighbors took a tour last night and loved the layout, the quality products, and the fantastic workmanship. The job went Very Well from start to finish. Harley and Cynthia are a pleasure to work with. They had really helpful ideas for the redesign of the kitchen. They are prompt and very responsive to questions. They provided great communication throughout the process regarding timing and events to occur. The workmanship was top notch. Their crews are very skilled, friendly and timely. Not only did their skill impress me but the fact that they swept up, vacuumed and cleared their tools every night was very impressive. The completed the job with all deliberate speed without any delays in the process. I very highly recommend this company and plan to use them again.

My wife and I hired DC Construction to redesign our kitchen. The project involved the removal of a wall to open the space. We wanted new cabinets and countertops. We met with Harley to discuss the project. We did not replace flooring, but some plumbing work was needed to relocate the dishwasher. Along the way we also met with his wife, Cynthia. During the project we interacted with his crew, including Shane, who was the lead worker on the project. Harley and Cynthia are patient and completely dedicated to pleasing their customers. Harley's email handle: "ibuildwithcare" is an accurate statement of his intentions. His final work product is an accurate testimony to those intentions. My wife and I were completely satisfied and pleased with the outcome of the project. We were especially impressed with the efforts Cynthia made throughout the entire project to communicate with us on a timely basis. She is more than Harley's right hand person. She is very much a key member of his team. Shane was outstanding in assuring that all day-to-day details of the actual work were completed by his crew in a professional, clean, organized, and competent manner. He is an outstanding craftsman whose performance never fell below the level of "excellent." As with any project, questions and issues arose along the way. Cynthia and Harley carefully listened to comments and concerns my wife and I expressed. They demonstrated patience and understanding in dealing with us, and made good faith and persistent efforts to resolve issues and answer questions to our complete and total satisfaction. I highly recommend DC Construction in terms of work quality, professionalism, responsiveness value and punctuality. Moreover, I am happy to say that this is a company that, because Harley and Cynthia are who they are, approaches a difficult and sometimes complicated business in a fair and honest fashion. Super! Their staff was on time, cleaned up behind themselves and were respectful of me and my home. There were a couple of problems that were immediately addressed and resolved to my satisfaction. I am thrilled with the outcome of the project.

Very positive experience

Harley was friendly and punctual. We went over what was needed. I had only been in my house for about a month. The areas to be painted were without much furniture and mostly empty except for the kitchen, not much to move. The job was walls only, no trim, no doors and I provided the paint. I was shocked the next day when I got the estimate! Several THOUSAND dollars to paint 1 small bath, small kitchen, a family room and a living room. I also asked for an estimate to add on 2 small bedrooms...1200.00 ea bedroom! I understand that some contractors bid high if they’re not interested in a job, but let me know up front and don’t get me interested and waste my time...

Went very well. We had a special need to start work, but then stop for a couple of weeks while we had family coming to town and still needed the bathroom useable even though in rough condition. Harley was able to make that happen so we could get the job completed in the timeframe we had available after our family left.

It was great. 6 months later and I'm still thrilled. Harley was great. He spent time with me to make sure he understood exactly what I wanted. He was creative and handy with ideas. He was extremely communicative about the whole process. His work was impeccable, done right, and on budget. I would highly recommend him and his crew.

The crew was wonderful! They did top quality work, were dependable, responsible, courteous and considerate of our needs every step from start to finish.

It is absolutely beautiful and so functional. I had a problem with the formica separating and Dave came right back and replaced it free of charge.

Harley at DC took great care of us. He was very responsive in returning calls/emails. The quality of the installations was excellent. We did not do custom cabinets but if your look at them, you cannot tell. They maximized the space and added nice finishing touches. Had a couple minor things to take care of after the job and DC was right on it. Billing was as expected. Really like the shower replacing the old tub. DC works with local suppliers. Kitchen, cabinet, granite, bath, marble vendors were all easy to work with.

Harley did a fantastic job on my kitchen remodel. Installed a dishwasher, relocated cabinets, tore down a wall and built a breakfast bar. He also renovated the master bedroom, which included relocating a closet. The quality of work was impeccable and everything was completed in time for the holidays!
