I had several choices of companies to choose from and after reviewing each proposal I selected Courtney Electric. What a good choice, They installed the generator outside and a new breaker panel inside. In addition they installed two load sheading controllers and also some extra work that I requested. I am not unfamiliar with electrical work and I was able to observe the quality and professionalism of Scotty and Dillon during the installation. I was very impressed with all aspects of the job. I watched the entire project from start to finish, and any questions I had were answered. The physical installation of the Generator was done with a proper foundation and within Code. Changing out the electrical panel was challenging but, Scotty and Dillon did the neatest and most .accurate re-wire job I has ever seen. I had some extra work done, I had 2 quad electric outlets installed in my garage. Neat!, neat! and quick work. The owner, Steve Courtney, checked on the job occasionally and we got along great, he and I both being ex Navy. Over all an outstanding job, would hire again in a heart beat!!!!

Pre-purchase home inspection revealed the electric service to the house required critical safety updates. My insurance company set a short suspense date requiring the updates to be inplace prior to issuing the final policy and a safe dwelling for my family to move into. After reviewing many entries in Angies List for electrical contractors, Steve's reviews by far set him far apart from the rest, and an appointment was made for his evaluation of the project. Upon meeting Steve and reviewing the work with him, I felt assured that the project was in good hands. Steve provided me with options and suggestions improving upon the project and obtaining the best value for each dollar. Due to my work requirements I was out of state during the entire project, however "Courtney Electric" provided me with exceptional worry free service. Steve's honesty, dedication and work ethic allowed me to stay focused on my job while he did his. I placed my trust and my families home with Steve without reservation. His work reflected true craftsmanship, which was well noted by many of my "new neighbors" who stopped by during the project to see the ongoing work. All were very impressed as the work progressed as well as Steve's professionalism. The project was completed on time and on budget, all inspections were complied with, totally satisfying my insurance companies requirements while providing me with peace of mind.

I've used Courtney Electric for over 3 years now. These folks service all of my electrical needs. They are very professional and knowledgeable on all things electric. As the work is been done, I'm kept informed on just what is happening and why. The owner, Steve Courtney, is very polite and unquestionable knows his stuff. I will always use this company and highly recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

He is awful. He was the only electrician in the area. He stole my sons, my daughters and my identity. When the AC company brought him over to check out the job he even took a lamp of mine with him. I had to fire the AC company who recommended him. He didn't even perform the work he was hired to do. I paid him an excess of $3,000 so that he would be out of my house and so that he couldn't put a lean on my home. He said that I couldn't claim he didn't do the work, even though he didn't do it and I still paid him. He is not professional and not honest.

"Today, 7/23/2010 was the first time Courtney Electric learned that this customer had a problem with not only the work that was performed, but with the integrity of our company. She posted this entry on 7/21/2010 - 2 days ago, but the work was done ten months ago. She hired us to provide wiring and conduit to a new AC unit. We obtained a signed contract from her and performed the work. She also initiated more work and entered into another (signed) contract with us for the installation of a new sub-panel and 16 other miscellaneous electrical issues. In total, both invoices came to just over $2,200. She paid the first contract on September 25th, and the second the same day it was inspected by the City of Sebastian, on September 29, 2009. That was the last we heard about her until we received a call from Angie's List today about this report. As evidenced by our other reports, Courtney Electric has the highest regard for customer satisfaction and operates with the utmost integrity. Her unfounded accusations of identity theft and the fact that we would take money for a job not completed are ludicrous,libelous not to mention hurtful. We are in the process of faxing Angie's List the documentation to provide proof that the work was completed and thus the report filed is false. Unfortunately, Angie's List's help desk has explained that the only way the report can be removed is if the person who posted it decides to take it down. This unfairly shines a false light on our family business and has potentially damaged our credibility. We vehemently deny these allegations and wish that Angie's List had a dispute procedure that protects both parties when unfounded allegations are made. Sincerely, Steven R. I have used them twice and they were excellent both times. He did a great job installing the complicated fan. He is on time and is here when he says he is going to be. He does an excellent job and is a nice guy. He is very competent. I am very pleased with him.

The company was the extraordinary. They are the most well ran company we have ever dealt with. They were well within budget, performed work in a timely manner. Their communication was great and punctual. They went above and beyond in completeing their work. They picked up well after themselves and were fair. After waiting and waiting for my former electrician to get back to me, I joined Angie's List and found Courtney Electric the same day I joined. I subsequently called them mid morning and Mr. Courtney told me he would be there between 1 and 1:30PM. He arrived at 1:05. Wow. Great job. I had never heard of Courtney Electric before and thank Angie's List for helping me locate him.

Steve Courtney came out and looked at what I wanted to have done. He said he'd work up an estimate and email. Because of the nature of the work, he offered a time and material estimate, just what I needed. His electrician, after calling in sick the first day, showed up promptly, listened attentively and got to work. Because the work had to be done in a very small, lived-in house being remodeled, quarters were tight but Dan did not let that interfere with his progress. He was efficient and thorough and finished up in a day and a half. Frankly, some other "professionals" have refused to do work in a remodel and one told me I needed a service upgrade before he would consider doing the work. I was very happy with the attitude of Steve and Dan and was treated extremely well. When I had a question about a material charge, Steve researched it and made the adjustment (downward). I was delighted and relieved to have found such a good company.

While adding a storeroom, I need electrical outlets added and a pump wired. I also wanted to have my house circuit breaker modified to allow the entire house to run on a generator should I lose power. And finally, I wanted in-ground landscape lighting added to my newly installed landscaping. Steve's company performed all these tasks in a timely manor at a fair cost. But more than just "doing the job", he made suggestions to improve both the look and effectiveness of the results. Having options is a good thing in my mind even if I do not chose to adopt them. He was polite, professional, and a pleasure to have in my home.
