In the beginning, Ed was trying to do his best even though things did not always work his way. After that, it has been very stressful to get the paperwork needed for city permit: very difficult to reach him and when I did reach him there was always a commitment to get it done right away. The end result is that 4 months after installation I am still waiting for the paperwork he has promised to deliver innumerable times (it is amazing the number of excuses he can come up with).

I put the wrong company for payment. It was not Acosta, Inc. the company I made the check out to was ABLE CONT. Water heaters division.....just a generic contractors invoice you can buy at Office Depot.

The company is a fraud. I paid 945 dollars for a Rudd water heater and per the serial number it is a 2019 model. What a joke this guy Hoag is. The BBB has never heard of him and neither has Rudd. He is a fraud.

"The water heater was new out-of-the-box. If you have a problem with the date on the Water Heater call Rheem and they will tell you that they were closed for months and the water heaters we stockpiled in their warehouse until they were able to ship them out to all the different suppliers. The supply house where I get my water heater waited almost 2 months to get a shipment of Water Heater. To reiterate the water heater that was installed was brand new right out-of-the-box. If you got other estimates you would know the price you paid is very good. The average other companies charge is $1100-$1200. If you had called me I would?ve happily told yo"

Ed Picked up new tank ($100 extra) Installed,didnt check hot water,asked to be paid in cash or wanted 5% more for a credit card($25) came back said nothing wrong but we had no hot water for 2 weeks. Wanted $250 to fix his PERFECT install!! RhXXXX plumber re installed at my expense. Ed/William refused to refund for faulty install. Went to small claims court, they didnt show up.Got judgement .Kept stalling payment.Took a month for HA to get me a check. Unprofessional throughout my 4 months from incorrect install to getting my refund.

"You are a liar! Yes, there is a charge for me to go out of my way to pick up Water Heater at Home Depot. First, you send me to the wrong Home Depot 20 miles from the job then I had to go to the correct home appliance store (which was another 40 minutes out west). The address you gave the cord was a PO Box that was rarely checked on. You did not use the address to the office which was on the invoice, That is why we did not show up in small claims court and the only reason the judgment was in your favor DS."
