Tip Top Shoe Service

This was the rudest shop owner I can ever remember. I had pump on which the heel had fallen off - it looked like the glue had come undone. I hoped it could be repaired, thinking they just had to reglue the part that had fallen off. and so had brought the part of the heel which had come unglued in with me. The woman who came to the front, looked at the heel which had come off and said very dismissively, "this is plastic, garbage, it's no good. Why did you bring this?" I told her that she might have been able to determine that by looking at the broken heel, but I couldn't. She also asked where the matching shoe was, as it was needed to make sure the new heel would be the same height as the old one. At that point, I thought I might just come back with the other shoe at another time. However, I had also brought a new sneaker in with a question as to whether there was a fix they could put inside the toe of the sneaker. I must walk strangely, and in the new mesh style sneakers, I always poke a hole through the top of the left shoe. I had also brought my old sneaker to shoe where the hole appears. Againly very rudely she said "this is fabric, if we put a strip of leather on the outside it would look terrible." I hadn't wanted something attached to the outside, and so her answer showed she hadn't even the courtesy to respond to what I asked could be done. I took my shoes and left, and will never go back. I just hope I can find another shoe repair not too far from Venice.

These were good shoes I have worn for many years. They looked like new after he fixed the heel and polished them. Much less expensive than buying new shoes!

Perfect, absolutely perfect! This is a real shoemaker. I think he can do anything with shoes and has been in business for years. It was an extremely impressive experience. Wow, was he great! And is also a very nice person too!
The stitching was perfect and the Finn sandal Velcro straps now hold like new!

He helped me get what I needed. It went great .He saved me a lot of money . He instructed me how to take care of my expensive boots. Sold me exactly what I needed. He could have taken advantage and charged me to have the work done .

He's been taking care of shoes since he was 10 years old. The Tamiami Trail goes from Tampa to Miami. We saw it, we went, and the man was fabulous. If a shoe is not worth it, he tells you, he had a shoe factory in Brooklyn, and he knows. He's a perfectionist, he's a little rough around the edges sometimes, he's Russian, but, excellent.
