On Sunday night when I was using the vacuum cleaner, the lights in the living room began to flicker, but did not go totally out until 10 minutes later when I was working on my computer. I heard a buzzing noise, and then all the lights in the living room went out. I thought I had tripped a breaker, but couldn't get the breaker box open, so my very kind neighbors came over with flashlights and checked my breakers. They checked all breakers, the panel behind the breakers, and even switched two breakers out to see if it was the breaker to the living room. No luck. So, I called a good friend of mine who recommended John Winters with Right Way Electric. I called him on a Sunday night, and he answered the phone. I told him what had happened, and he said he would be over the next day to help me out. He showed up on time and got right to work. He checked the breakers, and checked every single outlet in the living room and the guest room where the power was out as well (adjoining wall). When none of those turned up faulty, he checked a return box that was where the old breaker box was before the new one was installed last year. He found the problem. My "neutral" was no longer, but live! He checked all the other wires and found 3 more that were sparking/arching. Yikes! He fixed all the wires, and everything is working well. For all of this, he could have really ripped me off, and that's what I was fearing. He just charged me for his time, basically. He was here for maybe 30 - 45 minutes, and only charged me $75. It is so nice to know that there are honest, caring people out there like John Williams. I highly would highly recommend Right Way Electric to anyone who needs an honest, skilled electrician.
