Stay away from this company! Their attitude, disrespect and lack of customer service is beyond words can express. The job was below standard. He disconnected the gas line that goes to the grill and would not reconnect or assume responsibility claiming he was only here to repair the gas leak to the pool pump.

Very knowledgeable and friendly. Came out to look at existing 15 year old heater and said they could repair but will keep breaking. Assessed the situation (location, elements, requirements, use case) and recommended the RayPak. A month or two later I went ahead with the install. Within a few days it was up and running. Heats hot tub in 10 to 20 minutes and pool in 4 to 8 hours all depending on start temperature. Turns out the old heater was rusted throughout. Solid recommendation on replacing. Thanks Terry. Heater works great.

I had a 9-year-old pool heater than came with the house my wife and I had moved into a few months earlier.  We had the pump and some other equipment replaced a few weeks after we moved in when the old pump quit but kept the old heater, which allegedly had just been repaired by the prior owner.  However when I tried to use the heater all I got were error codes on the control panel.  Terry was recommended by my pool maintenance guy as a pool heater specialist and he absolutely lived up to that billing.  (A-1 is a small company and I believe is run by Terry and his wife Elise.)  I am pretty technically oriented and had the chance to both watch Terry while he worked (Terry said he didn't mind) and ask him a number of heater-related questions.  Terry's ability to quickly isolate problem components was amazing but probably even more amazing was the fact he had spare parts on his truck for every bad component.  He also was able to answer every one of my questions in ways that made good engineering sense.  This is a guy of great technical skill who I'm sure understands the nuances of pool heaters (e.g. the relationship between heater BTU output and the minimum water flow rates needed to maintain stable operation) far better than any general pool-service technician.  If you have a pool heater issue, do yourself a favor and call Terry.
