Called this morning, left message; call returned within minutes and scheduled an appt for the afternoon. Punctual, professional, and efficient: both springs replaced, rollers lubed, everything tested. To top it off, he's a vet! Top notch all around!

What made it complicated, and makes Steve such a great businessman, is that my garage doors broke, and trapped one of my two cars,  just as I went into the hospital for a 9 day stay.  We made, in good faith, several appointments with Steve and had to break them as my medical situation changed.  We jerked him around over several days.  He stuck with us, adjusted on the fly and eventually sealed the deal with a great repair at a fair price.  That is a good businessman.

Steve had great communication - by calling to confirm the approximate time of his arrival. He showed up when he said he would and was very professional, efficient, and honest. Steven Reed of Reed's Residential Garage Doors was scheduled to install a new garage door opener at my house on 4/14/15. I was not going to be home for the installation, so I left the garage unlocked. They arrived on the day they said they would, and installed the new opener. When I got home that evening, the installation was complete and the garage door worked. The outside keypad had even been programed to the code that I gave him. The price on the invoice left behind was exactly the agreed upon price. Its refreshing to have contractors do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it. Especially in Florida.  Without hesitation, I will recommend Steve to any of my friends and neighbors.

My battery (a special type, that I didn't even know I had!) was fried from a power surge in a thunderstorm. It was beeping and driving us up the wall.  I called Reed's up and he couldn't make it that day, but instead, asked me a couple of questions and talked me through finding the battery and told me how to replace it. Better, he told me although he could do it I would save money (cost of a service call) by going to Ace Hardware and picking one up myself. That was particularly nice, because of lot people wouldn't do that for you. He has been out twice before and did reasonably priced, good work.

It all started with frustration over my old remotes which no longer activated the garage door opener - despite having replaced the batteries earlier. Steve Reed [owner] called me at around 8AM the morning after my late night email request and gave me free advice on 5 or 6 different ways I could try to fix my problem without the prospect of making a penny. This really impressed me! He mentioned the Liftmaster system with MyQ technology as something he has available, should I decide to upgrade from my 15 year old 1/2 HP Craftsman model but he was not pushy about it. He gave me the model number to check out on the internet, if I cared to.
Knowing that I might not have time to try all the fix-it-tricks in the next 3 days, I scheduled an appt. to have Steve at least give my garage door apparatus a maintenance checkup and possibly change out the opener altogether. In fact, I had pretty much decided to go with the Liftmaster after researching their website. I could have shopped around to find the cheapest price for installation but why would I take chances with somebody else when a man of integrity had responded so promptly and unselfishly?
Steve's competency, punctuality, and professionalism were superb. Excellent workmanship. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone with garage door opener needs. When you find someone like him, you wish he could be your car mechanic, plumber, electrician, roofer, etc. too!

He personally answered my phone call, scheduled service for the next day and was at my home 5 minutes early. He immediately figured out the problem and fixed it, then he performed general maintenance on the springs, rollers, and sensors. Lubricated rollers, replaced the lightbulb in the motor housing, and then explained to me how to do the maintenance myself in the future. He charged a very fair price of $58 for the service call. Will definitely use again because of honesty, price, professionalism, and punctuality.

Steve came out on time and got right to work. Fixed my garage door in no time. I am new to Angie's list, but wanted to post a review of Reeds Garage Door. The service on my garage was actually in May, it' not August and no issues. He replaced the springs oiled everything. Garage door is still quite and working fine. Great Job!

Our garage door had a dent on a panel. Everyone said we had to replace the panel, which is expensive. Steve fixed the dent with out replaceing the entire panel. Save us a lot of money. The door made a lot of noise when opening and he replaced some bad parts. We are very happy.

He came out, did the work, did it well, and for reasonable prices. He communicates the fixes that needed to be made and completed the work promptly. He was punctual in getting here when he said he would be coming. He had serviced our door a few times. On the initial visit, he replaced the garage door opening unit. He also suggested adding reinforcement bars to protect from hurricane winds. We ended up adding those reinforcement bars. On a second visit, he had replaced a spring on our door. The spring had split in two, which was causing the trouble with the door not opening. He replaced that spring. The pricing and service experience, on this occasion, was also great. If there were any other issues that came up in the future, he'd be the only garage door service that I would call.
