Description of Work: Phil and his team transformed my open living room/dining room into a beautiful playroom/den with custom built in cabinetry. Phil took my vision and made it happen. + -1 moreMr. McClain never showed up at our scheduled appointment. He never called to cancel or reschedule. I was extremely disappointed at this lack of professionalism since he had received such good reviews on Angie’s List.
Description of Work: I spoke to Phil McClain to set up a time for him to come to my house and give me an estimate on some custom cabinet work we needed done. We set a specific day and time for him to meet me at my house and give the estimate.

+ 2 moreWent fine. Only problem was on the slider. The delivery took forever 6-8 weeks to arrive. When installed, it was determined it was missing a part--the transition piece to tile. The tile installer was delayed and charged us a trip charge to return and complete the tile after the part arrived. Workmanship was excellent. No complaint as to quality.
Description of Work: Removed bank of 3 windows and installed a slider. Removed and filled and external door. trimmed interior with wood, high base moulding, crown moulding, in several rooms, added wood trim & mouldings around windows & door. Trenched an outlet in the slab to add a mid room electrical outlet in floor.

He also recommended someone who came and configured our closet system. He was extremely neat and on time. The work was excellent. We've already recommended him to other people and we will definitely use him again in the future.
Description of Work: We used McClain Custom Carpentry for installing crown molding. He also put cabinets in our laundry room.

+ 1 moreI used to run a large real estate office in Brandon. When I wanted to find an excellent carpenter I sent out a mass email to over 100 Realtors knowing they would know some good ones. Many of them came back to me with the name Phil McClain. Phil is also a general contractor and at one time was the head of construction for a large home builder. When I say Phil is a crafstman I mean he is a CRAFTSMAN! I told him the look I wanted which was to make my twelve year old house look like a 100 year old house and he did it! Phil is very professional and talented. He is now remodelling an investment house I purchased.
Description of Work: I had my family room/kitchen area remodeled with crown molding, 6" baseboard, beadboard and door and door and window casings. It was installed and painted. Very big area!
