Matt Ray, who has supervised these jobs since 2012 as co-owner of Tony Ray Homes, Inc., is now President, and continues with the same quality and customer satisfaction goals. Our Quality Assurance staff is your resource for timely response for any questions or changes to the project. We have had two bathrooms remodeled by Matthew Ray Homes and are extremely pleased with the results. We had a smaller bath done first and were so satisfied with the results that we had no hesitations to have Matt block out time in his schedule to have the more complex Master Bathroom remodeled six month later. Matt and his crew proved to be very easy to work with and very competent in the trades they performed. The quality of the work is excellent. While we had a reasonable plan as to what we wanted to have done in both bathrooms to modernize and update them, Matt provided useful suggestions that helped us fine tune the final design in a form constructable for Matt and appealing to us. Having the expectations of what the final product should look and function like prior to any demo work proved beneficial to both Matt and to us. Matt was very helpful in recommending products to be used and assisted in obtaining those we had difficulty in providing. The crews that Matt utilized, whether it be his own people or subcontractors, were wonderful to work with. They were friendly, skilled at their trade, and conscientious to do the job correctly. They all made sure of what we wanted before starting their work, asked questions to confirm what was to be done, identified any issues as they became aware of them, offered solutions as needed, considered our input, cleaned up the job site each day, and checked to make sure we were satisfied with the work up to that point. The tile work on the walls and floors was especially well done. We would highly recommend Matt and his crew for any home remodeling project. Big and small projects are both done professionally and given full attention by Matt and his crew. You will not be disappointed.

We recently bought a fifty-year-old fixer upper house that needed many renovations. We hired Matt Ray to update two of the bathrooms, remodel the kitchen and remodel the main living area. Matt and his crew did a wonderful job. As we expected in a fifty-year old house, there were some unknown issues as we remodeled, and Matt helped us address them as they came up. Matt kept us informed and updated on the progress the entire time. He also made suggestions based on the renovations we were looking for and made us aware of items we may want to address based on the age of the house. Matt and his crew went above and beyond! We are hoping to have him work on the rest of our renovations, which include a third bathroom, the laundry room and out downstairs Florida “basement”.

The demo was messy, as expected, but the team did a good job of containing the dust and debris and cleaned up each night. They were on time, consistently working to get the project done and kept us updated on the progress. The final project is beautiful with high quality workmanship. I would definitely use them again.

If I could give a rating higher than an A, I would. Matt and his crew were so easy to work with, meticulous and exacting, and fast. Original estimate for the work was four to five weeks, it was substantially complete in three. Matt sent crew back once or twice to fix tiny glitches he saw (I didn't) and made sure I was happy with the outcome. The crew cleaned up after themselves every night, cleaned more thoroughly after the work was done. So very happy with the results.

Matt was amazing. He was reliable and responsive and did very high quality work. This was a major remodel for us--all new floors, baseboards, doors, painting, remodeled kitchen and bathrooms, reconstructed stairs. I can't say enough positive things about working with Matt. He always had a good attitude. He was happy to talk about design and materials options. I told him at the outset that I was going to be picky about even the small details. There wasn't much to quibble about, but on a couple small things that probably no one else would notice, he was very accommodating. I've already recommended him to several friends. If we had other projects, he'd be our "go to" person. He was a pleasure to work with and the remodeled condo looks incredible.

Matthew has always done a great job with the projects we've had him do. Efficiently, timely, and always keeps us in the loop we know when things are happening, who will be at the house, and when they'll be done. He also always personally inspects the work along the way to make sure everything is in tip top shape. The process was free of surprises from start to finish and his team is always courteous and tidy. He'll always been our number one choice for renovation and contractor work.

On time every day which is a big deal to me. Work was well done with no issues. The bathroom looks great. I made a few modifications and they were fit in with no problems. Total job was around 3-4 weeks as stated.

We had a big project, total kitchen tear out with walls removed and new cabinet layout. Replaced 14' built-in entertainment center. Also, replaced cabinets in both baths along with pulling out built-in tub and replaced with free standing tub. Matt and his team did a great job. We are very pleased with the quality of work and the pricing. No surprises or large adjustments, just a couple of small added costs due to the fact that we made some changes. The crew was friendly and professional. They made sure that everything was cleaned up and put away before they left each day. It was a pleasure dealing with Matthew Ray. He was a hands on guy and did whatever he needed to do to get the job done. Plan to have him do our outdoor kitchen and laundry room as well.

Matt is simply the best contractor I have ever worked with. He insists that things be done the right way and that no short cuts be taken. He works with quality sub contractors and ensures everyone is on the proper timeline to get the project done efficiently. We took the house down to concrete and drywall. The end result is fantastic. Matt give you a custom, polished dream home when he is done. I couldn't be happier and I made a friend along the way.

Matt and his crew were very professional and personable. Matt made sure that he understood exactly what we wanted and gave us a fair price. We had our master shower gutted, a half wall between our shower and tub removed, tile replaced around our tub, and a light put in over the shower. The results are beautiful. Matthew Ray Homes is highly recommended!

I waited almost a year to post this review to allow some time to pass so my review is honest and not a reflection of relief that it's over. MATT AND TEAM ARE OUTSTANDING!! He was on the job site regularly and responded to calls or emails within 24 hours. Final bill came within $500 of estimate; which could be contributed to owner upgrades. Owners paid separately for bathroom cabinets and granite, and to have terrazzo floors in bedrooms polished. Weren’t thrilled when installed tub valve was not seated properly and leaked ruining our original choice of Cali Bamboo flooring in Cognac stain. However, plumber admitted fault and between him and Matt covered all replacement costs. We took the opportunity to change the flooring as Cali Bamboo in that shade scratches EASILY. DO NOT ORDER THAT PRODUCT. We went with a cork laminate (Home Depot) in the kitchen (husband is the cook and has back problems, he can stand for hours without issues) and Hickory flooring made by Columbia throughout the rest of the house. Matt even drove to the supplier in Tampa to pick up the Hickory flooring to get us in the house before Christmas. Steve and Adam did a lot of the work, were very professional and kept the job site clean. We would eventually like to add a Florida room on the back of the house and when we are ready for that project we will call Matthew Ray Homes.

After many quotes received from different companies, we chose Matthew and very happy we did. From day one, he was on time, listened to what we wanted in our kitchen, gave us new options for our a better look. Everything was on time, once cabinets were in, demolition was quick and clean up was good. Cabinets were in and my kitchen now looks bigger, nicer and beautiful. Matthew is responsible, honest and hard worker. I would recommend him and would hire him again for sure!

Existing tub, toilet and vanity top were removed. The drain was moved to the center of the floor area for the new shower, Hardie board was installed around shower walls, copper supply lines were installed. Shower was tiled, new toilet and vanity top installed, along with new fixtures and light. I also had them install two grab bars for when my elderly mother visits. The bathroom was then painted, including the closet and bathroom doors. Matt and his team were so wonderful to work with. They showed up when they were scheduled, and made sure to keep everything as neat as possible. The tile installer, Michael, did an incredible job! Matt was attentive, and always answered every communication promptly. The team cleaned up everything when the job was finished. And best of all, the final bill was less than the initial estimate. We are planning to have some renovations done in the master bath later this year, and will definitely be contacting Matt for the work.
