They have a lower child-to-student ratio. Their teachers have previous training and not only Special Ed but in daycare programs. My teacher is Teacher Nan. She is an older patient but she is absolutely phenomenal. She has Special Ed background history. She has a co-worker who is very interactive with the children whereas the other facility was not so much. Their facility has a locked down area so that it is secured for the children inside. They go outside for outdoor activities and play everyday. It's cleaned daily with disinfectants so that it is a clean environment for the kids to go to. The attitude of the teachers is so much better. They really seem to have an attitude of enjoying their job. They interact with each of the children. The kids in my son's class actually are happy. They're not snotty-nosed, running around in a chaos. They mind the teacher immediately. They come up and hug my husband when he drops off my son. They greet each other when they come through the door. It's just an entirely different environment. It's $91 for part-time (three days or less) per week but there is a slight discount that we've taken advantage of. It's 5% if we pay four weeks in advance.
