Property Management
The final problem that caused me to look for another property manager was when we arrived for our Thanksgiving vacation and found out the house had been broken into. We have a monitored security alarm system for the house and VacationHit, LLC did not keep it armed, as requested, when the house was vacant.
Twice their housekeeping crew damaged a wall and did a terrible patch job.
In addition, they did not monitor the house properly for problems. At one point there was a roof leak causing significant damage to one bedroom ceiling. They had their handyman fix it, and charge us, twice without correcting the problem.
While they were working for me, I paid them a monthly property management fee plus they received a good commission for each house rental whether they found it or I did.
Twice when I went to check on things I had to repair things and the final time I had to replace the things that were stolen from the break-in as well as have the roof leak repaired by someone who knew what they were doing.
When questioned, VacationHit accepted no responsibility for the break-in even though they had not secured the alarm system and they did not accept any responsibility for the damaged ceiling and resulting mold growth.
We had used VacationHit, LLC to find a house when we rented a house in Cape Coral before purchasing our own house and they were fine. But as someone who is supposed to watch your house for you when you are away they do not do a good job. I would never recommend them to a homeowner.
