The company is very unprofessional and does not do the entire job that was agreed on. We had them come in for two hours and they did not do what they promote they do. While in our house they left a hole in our island and didn't bother to tell up. The company also says that they make sure everything is cleaned up but they left us with a mound of tile and concrete dust. we waited for the bill and after a few days the owner called and told him we owe $600. We told him the job wasn't complete and about the damage and he said if we did not pay by 5pm that day he would take us to court. He sent my husband horrible text messages and acted very unprofesssinal. I would vise anyone looking for this kind of work to go else where.

I hired Tear It Up because they had a great rate of $2.25/sf for tile removal plus removal of thin set. I was originally going to do the job myself, but based on past experience with the mess it can make, it was worth paying someone to do it, and especially at the price Tear It Up was offering.
What attracted me to Tear It Up was their self promoted use of "zip walls" and being the "cleanest removal business in the South East". No zip walls were used in my home and the plastic they put up was very minimal and poorly placed. I can ensure you that they are NOT the cleanest removal business in the South East. I spent the past 12 hours cleaning up the fine powder all over my house after they left. There was literally powder everywhere. On laptop, on furniture, kitchen table, walls, front door, front porch, you name it.
The owner estimated the job to take 1 day, but it actually took 2 full days with the crew finally leaving at 6:30 PM on the 2nd day. Maybe they are cleaner for other clients, but I got the feeling they just wanted to get out of there so it didn't become a money losing job for the owner. One gentlemen on the crew was nice and you could tell he really cared. Another guy actually quit the company and walked out on the job leaving the poor guy here with just 1 other helper. For doing this for a living, the crew was very inefficient.
The crew actually left all of the plastic up and told me this was because the dust was still settling, so after they left, I had to take down all the plastic which also made additional powder go everywhere. I filled up 2 Shop-Vac bags of debris just from the floor alone after they left. This is not including the walls I still need to clean.
Another point, they broke my kitchen light and the crew member did bring it to my attention. I informed the owner about it and he asked me if it was a big deal. At this point, I just wanted these people out of my house.
This company is appropriately named because they did "Tear It Up", but their claim about being clean is absolutely false. My advice to ownership is if you underestimate a job, the client shouldn't have to pay for it. You need to tell the crew to take more time covering things up in the house and maybe even provide a cleaning service as part of the deal.
