I recently had my house tiled, the family room, kitchen, living and dining room and a hall.  I purchased the tile from a local tile outlet in Tampa.  Here are the things that I learned in the process .. find a good installer first and work with him to get the necessary supplies.  I hired Robert after purchasing the tile and thought I had gotten the best possible price - wrong - as a licensed tile installer he could have saved me a bunch of money on the tile - well caulk one up for a learning mistake.  The single most important piece of the tiling puzzle is the installer, Robert not only did a outstanding job but he made suggestions along the way that improved the overall look and feel of the finished job.  Robert is a very personable professional who takes the time to do the job right with style and old world craftsmanship.  P.S. I assumed from reading articles on the web that there would be about a 10% waste factor with the tile - Robert did a fine job of making precise cuts and I returned over 200 SQ of tile and got a refund - saving me a good amount of money.
