James R Erfft Contract Paint

I've used him for 5-10 years now. He is just by himself and he does a great job. Every time he does something for us, I'm always amazed. He's kind of a jack-of-all-trades, but he primarily started out as a painter and he has been a painter for most of his career, and then he went into carpentry. He does all kinds of things. I know he can build furniture and all sorts of things. He is easy going and to me that's important. He discusses everything that needs to be done prior to doing them and gives you a notion of what it might cost, some sort of an estimate. He's not a really formal type contractor, but I would rather hire him than some fancy company with 20 trucks and everything else. He is reasonably priced, he's good at what he does, he cares about his work, and he does a good job. He knows other people are going to see it so he walks away from it knowing he did a good job. I call him and he calls back quickly, he follows up, and stays on top of his job. If he can't show up at a normal time because he's got kids and a family to take care of as well and sometimes he takes them to school so instead of showing up at 8 sometimes he would show up at 9, but he always mentions it the night before that the next day he would be there at 9. I don't care as long as he does the job. I will use him again. As a matter of fact, he will come over and do some additional carpentry work and paint our river house.
