Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
It was a very stressful experience. Communication was practically non-existent. My phone calls were not returned for days. The contractor would come to do the work sporadically and consequently this small job was spread out over a four month period. They constantly insisted that they were professionals. When asked to redo areas that were not to my satisfaction they said they would correct the problems, but never did. My bathroom is still NOT FINISHED and they do not have any intentions of doing so. The wall is not straight or plumb. The shower opening is too large so water leaks from the shower spray. The shower opening is also not straight or plumb, The tile grouting is thin and not uniform in color with dark and light patches. The shower glass is too tall and is not straight or plumb. The drain was not installed level with the tile which leaves a hazardous sharp rim around it. The seat is unfinished underneath. They installed a hand made soap dish against my wishes. It is cracked along with the tile around it. It is very ugly. I purchased a soap dish for them to install and they ignored my request. I am very unhappy and disappointed in the quality of work performed. I recently contacted other contractors to assess the work and give me an estimated of what it will cost to correct these problems. The estimates range from $1,100.00 to $1,200.00. I reported these problems to the company who recommended Eagle Services. They came to my house and concurred that these problems needed to be fixed. They spoke to Eagle Services and asked them to do so but without success. Consequently, they, too, will no longer recommend them.

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel
When I was quoted a price I asked for a contract four different times: the only thing i received was a one-page email stating the price they were going to charge. Agreed to one-third down-payment and then later refused to start project unless they were given a 50% down-payment. There were two slabs of marble and three tiles which were chipped (don't know if they chipped them or they just bought inferior materials) which they installed and then tried to hide with extra glops of grout. The white cabinet they installed was made from pressboard and two of the shelves were split, with nails poking through the shelves. The laminate on the pressboard was peeling and the cabinet did not sit flush with the ceiling. When I saw the finished shelf I told them that it was not acceptable and they needed to remove it and install a cabinet grade plywood shelf: they told me that they were not capable of building the shelf and referred me to a colleague. In exchange for me paying additional $$ to the cabinetmaker, they would remove the inferior cabinet, tile the top of the vanity, and hang a light fixture. At this point they were 9 days past the completion date and several hundred dollars over what they had quoted for materials. They agreed that when the new cabinet was installed, they would come back and a) install backsplash on vanity b) seal all grout on vanity/walls/floors and c) reattach baseboard if/where needed. After the cabinet was installed I called them. They said they would come Monday or Tuesday. Wednesday I called.......they said they'd call me back tomorrow. They didn't...and i called again. Made appointment for a day the following week and they didn't show up. Then they stopped taking my calls. My bathroom project which was to have taken 4 to 7 days was not done for almost 4 weeks. In addition to the additional cost of materials (referred to above) it cost $90 for a new showerhead as the one they provided was inferior in quality and in design. The cabinet cost an additional $525 and the supplies I had to go out and buy to seal grout and reattch the tiles were an additional $125.
