Prime PLumbing is the worst plumber I've ever hired in my 76 years. Their "technician" twisted a hose bib with a pipe wrench, causing a break in the wall behind it. Water immediately began leaking onto the patio. 27 hours later we determined what he had done. Now the damage is $30,000 and going higher. And so much grief with our home turned upside down due to his incompetence. They never responded in any way to our calls to their "emergency" number, or to our letters. ServPro was here 24/7 for 5 days drying out drywall and floors. Hardwood floors ruined. Prime should not be in business.

Be forewarned about Prime Plumbing!! This company will install unnecessary items (verified via Manufacturer) to milk extra money out of you, overcharge you for their poor quality of service, not honor warranty claims, and lack all ethical professional practice. They're service manager actually made the statement that "they aren't use to dealing with customers who had some plumbing knowledge". That just shows this company lacks morals from the top, down. Whether you have plumbing knowledge or not shouldn't determine the quality of service. I have had multiple interactions with this company after an initial job I had them do (which was done poorly). Every time they attempted to "make things right," more problems came to light that were just disgraceful. The last and final straw, was finding that they charged me an extra $420 for a valve (market cost of $65) that was unnecessary. I called the Manufacturer, and they had no idea why a plumber would install such a valve where they did and had never heard of one doing such a thing. The manufacture recommended to cap off the line and throw the valve away ($420 down the drain). I will never do business with, or recommend this company again! No remorse from prime plumbing despite bringing these issues to their attention. I get the feeling they are used to their employees doing sub-par work. Ultimately, I wish I had all 6k back just to rip out their work and re-do it all properly for a fraction of the price.

Had a slow leak in bathtub. Tech came out and replaced cartridges, charged $397 dollars. Tub faucet still leaks, blamed it on water pressure. Bottom line still not repaired.

"As we explained on the phone, it is Florida Plumbing Code 604.8 that all water pressure going to homes be at 80 PSI or lower or a Pressure Reducing Valve must be installed. Your home has pressure of 87 PSI. I also confirmed with Moen that they do not warranty or recommend any of their faucets be in operation with pressure exceeding 80 PSI. We offered to resolve this for you by installing a Pressure Reducing Valve but it was declined. Best regards, Logan."

I recently called Prime Plumbing and requested a service call because I was having an issue with my water not heating warm enough. After a few days a tech came out and without even looking at the unit first recommended that the unit be replaced. I asked for him to at least inspect it first before making that recommendation. After three hours of troubleshooting and being on the phone with the manufacture of my gas water heater he finally said that it is most likely the ignitor. This recommendation at first did not make sense to me since I was getting warm water, it was just not warm enough. He stated that there is blue light that flashes and that indicates that the ignitor is intermittently working. I agreed to pay for the part, the installation fee and the $85 service fee just for him to come out, a total of over $400. Shortly after he left the warm water completely stopped and for 7 days my family was taking cold showers. Later I realized that he turned off the heater all together!!! The part finally came in and he replaced the ignitor, the heater worked again but the water was just as warm as it was before, no change at all after the part was replaced. I called Prime Plumbing again and they told me that they can send a tech out if I pay another service fee of $85, I informed them that the problem was never fixed, the symptoms were exactly the same!! I was told that this was what they had to offer, take it or leave it. I emailed the president (owner) of the company and left him a voicemail and he didn’t bother to respond to my complaint. The manager at Prime Plumbing was completely rude and was a liar, he made up lies and things that were never said by me. When I informed him I will be contacting the owner, he said go ahead and that the owner is never there anyways and will not respond to anything I send. At the end I had to find another plumber on Angie’s list who came out for Free!! And diagnosed the issue in less than 5 minutes, it was the mixing valve that needed replacement, it was not mixing the right volume of cold & warm water, the heater itself and the ignitor were working perfectly fine, the blue flash light was supposed to flash to let me know the system is working fine, this was contrary to what tech from Prime plumbing told me . The new company I called is Deland Plumbing, I highly recommend you using them. I am not gaining anything by writing this review, please please think twice before using Prime Plumbing, they are thieves just out to charge you fees and are completely incompetent!!! I will be taking them to small claims court to get my money back!

If we did not replace the burner assembly your gas heater would not be producing the flame it is today, I have pictures to prove that this work was necessary. It is unfortunate that you had multiple issues with your hot water and at first it appeared that only the burner assembly was the issue. This was clear, not because of the blue light but because of the flame which is blue. Upon initial diagnosis the flame was not burning hot enough and upon removal of the burner assembly it was clear that it was rusted and falling apart. We recommended replacing the water heater due to age, but at your request we replaced the burner assembly and we have over 5 pictures showing before and after proof of this. Rheem confirmed what needed to be replaced. Google does not allow me to post pictures on reviews or I would show it. We offered to come back out at no charge to warranty our work and you declined due to asking us to hold off so that you can speak with your husband. Glad you got your additional plumbing issue taken care of. We work very hard to provide the highest level of service to our customers, we would appreciate it if you removed the false accusations. Diagnosed problem but when placed filtration did not replace sulphur remover and needed to return. Labor cost assigned by job not by hour and was expensive. They did offer a discount on cleaning hot water tank when placed sulphur remover. They came when they said and no delays to make appointments. The only negative was cost.

Initially when we came out, the main issues that needed to be addressed was the hardness in the water and there was no sulfur smell in the water. We did charge for the job and this also meant that you were not charged extra for follow up visits or for times when the work took longer due to unforeseen obstacles. Our customers have peace of mind knowing the job they are quoted for is the price to be paid regardless of how long the job takes. Yes, we did end up installing an additional filter to remove the sulfur smell, but this was needed in addition to the softener and so you were not charged any extra than if they were both put in at the same time. We did not want to sell you something you did not need at the time. Called Prime Plumbing and was told that it would cost $59 for a service call plus the cost of the service. I asked if I could get an estimate of the cost, and was told the Plumber would make an estimate after looking at the job. The Plumber quoted me a price of $453, including the price of the service call. The total job took approx one hour to complete and was done in a professional manner but I thought the charge was excessive.

I only gave him a "4" for professionalism because he yelled at my nice mail lady when she politely asked him to move his truck which was too close to the mail boxes.
