Our air conditioning stopped working the night of June 25th. Going through the Yellow Pages, I called the first ad that caught my eye. The receptionist stated it would be four hours before they could come out. Feeling that was my only option, I set an appointment up for that day between noon and four o'clock. My sister called after I hung the phone up and asked how I was doing. Telling her about the situation she said, "Call Tilford Air they've done work in the area and are excellent." I was desperate, because our electric bill was $150, on a mobile home. Three times as high as our neighbors. So we had to do something. After our call, I immediately called Tilford Air and spoke to Ashley, his receptionist. She stated, "I'll have Chris call you". Within two minutes, Chris called and said he could be there in a few minutes. I called the "Other Company" back and cancelled the service call. The receptionist stated, "Well, they can be there within 30 minutes". I simply stated, "No thank you, I have someone on the way and they will be here in just a few minutes. Just cancel the service call." Putting the receiver back on the cradle, I see a Tilford Air & Heat truck pull up. Two men came to the porch and introduced themselves. One was the owner, Chris Tilford and his co-worker Chris. We walked over to the AC unit and they proceeded to do their checks. Chris diagnosed the issue, having to do with the coil being frozen. "Let's give it an hour to thaw and we'll be back". After the hour was up, Chris called, "Are you home? We are on our way". I cautioned him that rain, thunder and lightning were on its way. He stated, "I know we're in it now". Chris Tilford and his co-worker Chris showed up, jumped out of the truck, in the rain, thunder and lightning. Being a mom, it scared me to see them in that situation. They took a look at the AC and he told me the bad news. We had to replace the whole unit. He wasn't sure how old it was, because that brand didn't exist. (This trailer has been here for 25 years and there was no telling.) We worked out a price, time and date for the new install. During the interim Chris assured us we would have cool air. Ashley called the day before to confirm the time and date for the install. Tilford Air showed up at nine o'clock, as scheduled and I treated myself to the beach. Upon my return, Timothy, Dustin and Chris (the other Chris) were loading their equipment and ready to leave. Timothy led me around to the AC and I couldn't believe the cleanliness, of the area, and how they showed a good work ethic. Timothy asked if I had any questions or concerns. I really didn't. He stated Chris would be out later that day to inspect their work. Chris Tilford called me and asked if I was home. He showed up five minutes later. From the initial service call, discussing our options, financing and installation date, Tilford Air provided EXCELLENT customer service. The team as a whole knew what the other was doing. Chris Tilford stayed abreast of all his teams activities. Tilford's team worked well with each other and showed superior workmenship.
