We had our roof replaced in Nov 2013.  After getting quotes from a few sources we decided on Lowe's because of the warranty, stability of the company being around in the future if problems arise, and they offered a discount price for military.  Lowe's subcontracted the work to PRC (separate evaluation).  The Lowe's rep came to our house and took time to explain the various shingle types, the difference between the weather barrier and that if we had left over material, we get the credit for the purchase. 

We met with the Lowe's rep at Lowe's and he took us around to view all the products prior to finalizing the contract.  This turned out to be a great idea and time well spent because after seeing the colors in the store verses the catalog, we decided on a different color.  The Lowe's rep was very responsive to answering questions and any phone call we made to him.

After work was complete, the rep came out again to inspect the work, to answer any final questions and to ensure we were satisfied.  Any excess materials were removed (it did take about a week) and our account was credited for the returned materials.

One thing we did appreciate, is that when ever we tried to get a hold of the Lowe's rep, we could!  He was always available.

We were given a tentative installment date of 7/22/2013 on 7/17/2013 and on Friday in the late afternoon (7/19/13) we received a call from Lowe's saying that it would be 2 weeks before they could do the installment.  I inquired as to why it would take this long and was told that we needed a permit and that the city had only 2 part-time employees in the permit department and they were behind in their work.  On Monday, 7/22/13, I called the city and was told that there weren't any issues with the city issuing permits and that maybe Lowe's had issues.  I then called the store and told them what I had learned.  The person I spoke with said that the first person I talked to didn't know what he was talking about and that he would check into it. I then called the corporate office in Charlotte and was promised full satisfaction. Later, Lowe's called back and said that yes it would be 2 weeks because they (Lowe's) had only 1 "permit runner" and that person was in charge of getting permits for all the Lowe's stores in Brevard County. It is my belief that they could have explained this in the beginning.  On Friday, 8/2/13 the installers arrived and started to work.  About an hour after they arrived, I noticed that they were sitting on my front porch smoking and talking, one even on his cell phone.  I didn't say anything but then shortly after that, one man, named Wes was over at my neighbor's house looking at their new puppies.  It took them over six hours to install the door and this after Wes telling me that they had installed 4 doors the day before.  The doors, we had a storm door installed as well, were snug and showed some resistance upon opening and closing.  We thought that was because they were new and would probably loosen up a bit.  Last evening we attempted to close the main door and noticed it was hanging up on something.  The top of the door was getting caught on the frame work and this left about a 1/4 inch gap at the bottom.  We finally did manage to close and lock both doors but we had to slam the door with so much force that we were afraid the glass in the door would shatter.  We called Lowe's immediately and were told someone would get back with us today. At this time we are awaiting their call.  Needless to say, we are very disappointed and will not be doing business with Lowe's again.

Ironically we went to Lowe's that morning to look at a water heater since we felt that ours was not going to last much longer. When we arrived home we realized how right we were, the water heater broke and water was everywhere. Immediately we contacted Lowe's and they worked quickly to get the job done. There is excellent communications between Lowe's and Jeff the plumber as he was on-time, professional and extremely efficient. We couldn't ask for a better experience!

I used the team at Lowe's to install a sliding glass door for me. They were able to complete the project in a timely and professional manner. I feel that I really got a good value on this project for the price I had to pay. I would use the team at Lowe's again in the future.

We received a phone call last night from the installer wherein we scheduled the installation for today.  He arrived early, which wasn't a problem, and immediately proceeded to unpack the materials and install the blinds.  The  entire process took approximately 1/2 hour.

The blinds appear perfectly level, and except for some slight stiffness in operating (opening and closing), which is expected to dissipate over time, there doesn't appear to be anything negative about the blinds themselves.

The installer, who is not an employee of Lowes but is an independent contractor, was courteous and professional.  He had as much to do with this positive commentary as did the salesperson at the store.

For now, we're completely satisfied with the product, the service and the installation.  If anything changes with the passage of time, we'll update the rating.

11/19/11 -- We only noticed today that the valence is a different shade of white than the slats.  The slats are off-white, and they should be plain white as is the valence.  No sooner did we notice it when we received a phone call from Lowe's asking us how everything went with the installation.  We told the person on the phone about the problem, whereupon he said that replace blinds would be ordered, and that the incorrect ones would be switched out when the new ones arrived, which should be within a week or two.  We will update when the new blinds are installed.

12/12/11 - As of today we haven't heard back from Lowe's.  We're giving it until the end of the week when we'll go to the store to speak with someone about the status of the replacement.

12/27/11 - The replacement slats were installed today.  Given the time of year, the delay didn't really bother us.  Lowe's did the right thing, and that's good enough for us.

They had a person that was in the door department and I brought him in for the measurements. I told him about what I was looking for. He helped me to select a door and ordered it. There was nothing that I disliked. They got me the correct door. They ordered it and called me when it was in. I did not have them install it. It was just like going to a store, buying something and eventually picking it up. I got the door on sale. So far, it has been a good door as it opens and closes. They told me when the door would be there and it was there when it was supposed to be there.

Everything was excellent. They were here when they said they would be and did a good job. They also called to make sure I was happy with the finished product. They did not charge my credit card until I stated I was pleased.
