I hired Clayton to repair the crumbling stucco on my garage wall and to reframe some of the areas of my garage. Not everyone that does stucco work can do carpentry, most of the other people that came out to see my house couldn't even give me an initial quote because they subcontracted out that portion You're not going to get bottom barrel prices from Clayton because he pays his workers a fair rate, he was not the cheapest but he was definitely not the most expensive . I found his prices to be pretty reasonable, even though I was in another state entirely I trusted Clayton and he got the work done. He notified me of additional damage- crumbling window sills and cracked windows, and again gave me a fair price to get the work done. He is proactive and definitely knows what he is doing. I intend to use him again. I will enclose photos once I can figure out this new platform

When other contractors couldn't even return phone calls, American Eco Systems responded immediately. Even though they were booked, they managed to get my repair done quickly. I will definitely call them the next time I need work done.

I will not hire this contractor again, nor would I recommend him. I had 2 small bathrooms to renovate that would require tile, plumbing, and electrical. I’m a single mom, and thought it best to hire a contractor to oversee and organize the project. This contractor had great reviews, and that played heavily into my decision to hire him. This is the only reason I am writing a review now. This was my experience: My project began in July 2020, during the Coronavirus, so I'll give some leeway there, however I had no predetermined start date, so there was no pressure to start before he was ready for it. What I found is that the contractor brought in the various workers, but he greatly failed to “manage” the project. On average, workers showed up 2 days a week. Various workers, various days, various hours, weekends and holidays included. Luckily, I was working from home, so I was able to accommodate if/when someone showed up. The workers themselves were also struggling with the lack of any organized oversight, as they would be told to show up and work specific items, but arrive to find much more needed to be done, or other tasks needed to be done first, or were done incorrectly by the prior worker. I was probably most surprised at the lack of basic clean lines - be it grout or caulk. That always seemed to be a task that was not on anyone's list to address. It was rushed at the end, and it shows. Not that I blame the worker who was left holding the bag (the workers were all great and very nice), but I hated to see something that should have been so simple to do over the 2 month project take away from the overall effect in the end. On the few occasions that the contractor came by, he was very friendly and had lots of great ideas, many that I said “yes, let’s do that!”. But none of them came to pass, I suspect, because the folks doing the work never got the word. When I would ask the contractor about them he would claim it was never discussed, or that I never agreed to it, and the fallback was always “it’s not in the contract”. Texts also apparently do not count as discussions, so if you hire this contractor and he starts offering ideas after the original contract is signed, you will want to carry the contract and a pen to get him to initial and sign off on any additional work, or be ok that they are good ideas that will not be done. And lastly, when we were close to the end of the project, the contractor started insisting that I make the final payment before the work was finished. He started ranting about what a deal he gave me, and he had a payroll to keep up, and my project was taking too long (I will take responsibility for a week delay for when my vanity was lost in shipping. But I caused no other delay that I am aware of that made this estimated 14-20 day project take 2 months. I feel that was more because of the working 2 days a week thing.) I made all of my payments in a timely fashion, so I was stunned when he started harassing me with multiple texts and emails for the final payment before the work was complete. So, I see the great reviews, but this was the experience I had with this contractor.

"Not entirely true. The fixtures were incorrect, which were ordered by the client/engineer. Fixtures were not available also trim or it was not delivered. In tight spaces like bathrooms, to many people make it a contested and unsafe. We worked around your schedule and you wanted to buy your own fixtures. Yes I gave you a good deal, $ 5200. For two bathrooms, no good deed goes unpunished I guess., the client also added to the scope of work, which I guess she felt I should just freely give of our time and materials. This happened more than once. Which changed our schedules. Which changes other schedules. Does anyone work for free And stay in business very long? . Yes two of my sons tested COVID-19 positive. We had to self quarantine because of this. Gene, our tile installer, also fell and broke his ribs on his boat, That set me back a bit. I understand we all are under a lot of stress; However, I never even raised my voice to you. With that said I’m not going to discuss your personal situations or mine which everybody should understand does directly affect our lives. We do our best to deliver a clean and safe job, as we did for you. I feel your anger because you required more work which cost you more money. I’m sorry if I offended you in anyway I wish you and archer all the best I hope you enjoy your new bathrooms I know we did a great job at an excellent price. I’ve learned a lot from this job which I learn something from each and every customer that trust me with their work and to do renovations while they live at the property."

American Eco Systems (AES) Contractors did a phenomenal job. First, they made their availability meet our tight timelines and their initial assessment and discussion, clearly showed that they were professional and had an attention to detail. We had work done in every room, to include painted the outside and pool deck, and totally replaced the kitchen and master bath suite. There were no surprises and they were very flexible as we expanded our initial work order. We couldn't be more happy.
