M&M Sharpening

Mark has been sharpening knives etc. for us for several years when at the Saturday Morning Market in St. Pete. He is professional, and knows his craft. He's done my kitchen knives, USMC Ka-Bar, and hatchet. If he knows that the job can't be done in his window of time at the market, he'll keep it during the week to perform the job, and have it ready the following weekend. He's in high demand, and ALWAYS working. I don't trust anyone else with my cutting instruments. I joined Angie's just to write this review.

Mark picked up and delivered 7 pairs of production scissors and did a beautiful accurate job sharpening them, He has also sharpened other tools and they too have been excellent. I will use him for every sharpening opportunity, a job well done.

Did a great job! Repaired pieces above and beyond as he was able. Love my newly sharpened knives! Sells great sets as well if interested.

The metal knives were sharpened beautifully - they can cut paper dropped on the blades. He was not able to sharpen the porcelain, although he carefully tried. He did not charge us for the porcelain knives, although he worked on them for a while. He was very respectful of the knives, and explained clearly why he couldn't do them. He also gave us recommendations about how they might get sharpened. (we'll need to send them back to Japan)

.To do this work properly, one has to sharpen very evenly. The tools' blades were very sharp and even due to his expertise.

Found Mark on Angie's List. He answered his phone on the first ring, was very courteous, and made me feel comfortable. We arranged a meeting place and time to hand off the pinking shears. He was early and turned around the sharpening job just as promised at a very reasonable price. We would use him again for any of our sharpening needs. We recommend him!

I found M&M Sharpening at a previous visit to the Fresh Market held at Wire Grass Mall in Wesley Chapel. Thus, I decided to give M&M Sharpening a chance at giving new life to my extremely dull kitchen knives. Nonetheless, I dropped off my 4" paring knife, 6" utility knife, 8"chief's knife, 6" knife, and a kitchen scissor, Mark told me to come back in an hour and a half for my knives. I returned later to find my knives and kitchen scissor almost as sharp as the day I bought them. THANK YOU SO MUCH M&M SHARPENING ! YOU HAVE SAVED ME A GREAT DEAL OF MONEY FROM PURCHASING A NEW SET OF KITCHEN KNIVES. I will continue to use your service and would recommend your service to family and friends.

My most used knives in my knife set were growing duller and duller. I looked into sharpening them myself but decided against it so I didn't ruin them. Last month when I wandered around the monthly Westchase Fresh market I noticed M&M Sharpening, so this month when I went back I brought my knives with me. Mark was very pleasant, and when I balked at the price of sharpening my complete set and decided against doing the six steak knives, Mark offered to do a quick edge on them for free since they were so bad. Overall I was happy with the work he did. The knives are so much sharper now and finding him at the market couldn't be any more convenient to me. Check his website for other locations where you can find him. I never investigated sharpening services before, so I don't know how much is reasonable to expect for pricing but I was surprised at how expensive it added up to be for all the knives. Regardless, I'll be back to M&M Sharpening a couple times a year to keep the knives from getting so dull again.
